He was sounding more calm than usual, and this had Pandora lifting a brow. She must have m to react in his usual icy manner, so the casual smile he was flashing was bound to catch her unawares. 

" Wow! I have never seen you this calm," she said, not being able to resist the urge to comment. 

" Well, as they say, anger is not always the answer!" He said, leaning back on the bedstead, a smile still lingering on his face. " I just thought we could sort this whole double love thing once and for all!" By this time, his expression had switched into a more serious one. 

" Braxton, first of all, there's no such saying. Secondly, there is no double love! I love you and only you," she replied, scratching the back of her head in nervousness, and hoping he wouldn't notice her pretty white lie.
