What the hell is wrong with the world today?!

She did not know what to believe anymore. Cleopatra tried to rein in her emotions, to swallow the hurt, rage and pain that festered beneath her skin. She felt defeated. We're her actions responsible for bringing them closer? What if instead of gaining Ezra's attention, she ends up pushing him away instead? The thought of it was rather terrifying. 

No, Cleo thought, gripping her clutch tighter. She would not lose Ezra. It would break her.

Firm in her resolve, she slid out of her car and walked past them. Ignoring the giggling of Allison, she held her shoulder high and chin up as she walked towards the school's door. She had her plan in action and it had better work. The one man who could do things to her was at stake, and she was not ready to lose him. 

Ezra walked Allison to class and left for his after bidding her goodbye.
