Chapter 106

Daniel had a shitty smile on his face. "What was that?"

"Nothing! Marco is the cake freaking ready?!" He bellowed startling everyone in the cafe for a few seconds including Cleo who like at him with wide eyes and then looked away. A knife twisted his gut at the disappointment on her face. 

"Here's your shitty cake. Don't understand what got shoved up your-"

"Okay! No need to get disgusting here Marco. Get the hell back into the kitchen." Cam told the burly Mexican man who gave Ezra the stink eye and stormed off. "I'd bet he'll whip your butt if both of you wrestled."

"You'll lose a lot of money." Ezra spat grabbing the plate of cake and stalking toward Cleo. 

Damn her! He would go about his day as if she was not there. She couldn't ruin everything for him with her bright eyes flashing and making him feel guilty. Making him question why he had to stay away from her. He would not allow it!
