[3 days later, Inside the Dojo.]

Rumia ducked under a bokken coming for her head and stabbed her bokken forward only for it to be blocked by her mother's hand.

"Not quick enough." Astoria said as she threw Rumia away with her bokken. Rumia flipped in midair and landed on her feet. She charged her mother once again and used her small flaming wings as a small speed boost.

"HAAAA!" Rumia's bokken collided with her mother's bokken creating a loud 'Pak' sound. Astoria took Rumia's attack with ease and easily threw Rumia away using her bokken.

"Get ready, I'm going on the offensive Rumia."Astoria said as she into a stance and Rumia immediately began to focus. Astoria used a fraction of her full speed but completely disappeared from Rumia's senses. Rumia's eyes darted around the room and she focused so hard that her yellow eyes had a dim blue ring around them. Rumia's eyes shot left and she put her bokken up for a block. Astoria was surprised that Rumia saw her and changed her attack course from the left to the center. Rumia's block was useless as Astoria's bokken hit her in the stomach. Astoria made sure her strike had enough power to inflict pain but not enough pain that Rumia couldn't handle.

Rumia was sent tumbling into one of the many dojo walls. Rumia slowly got up using her bokken as support and she looked at her mother with anger.

"I'm gonna beat you!" Rumia yelled out as her small wings began to burn with vigor and her body began to emit steam. Rumia dashed forward hard enough that ground was left with a small crack. Rumia charged her mother in a zigzag as she thought it would throw her mother off. Astoria's eyes tracked Rumia's movements but Astoria stood still until Rumia got closer.

"I WIN!!" Rumia yelled as she did an overhead swing with her bokken. Rumia's bokken had small flames that bursted from the edges. Astoria smiled and caught Rumia's bokken with her bare hand.

"We're using magic now? Don't have to tell me twice." Astoria said as she opened her palm and a wave of pure Ethernano launched Rumia across the dojo and into another wall. A large dust cloud was created from the collision and Astoria watched from afar. Astoria continued to watch until she felt a wave of heat wash over her.

"Heh, my little monster." Astoria said under her breath as she watched Rumia's body being entirely comprised of flames. Interestingly enough, Rumia's bokken wasn't turned to ashes from the flames. Rumia charged forward leaving a trail of fire burning the tatami mats in the dojo. Rumia ran straight forward until she reached her mother and she jumped into the air for another overhead swing.

"FLAMING TALON!" An apparition of a Phoenix appeared behind Rumia as she swung her flaming bokken down upon her mother. Astoria smiled once again and she clashed her bokken with Rumia's. A strong shockwave was created from the force of the two bokkens clashing. Rumia used all of her strength but it proved to be futile in the presence of her mother. Astoria won the clash and sent Rumia flying across the dojo once again. Rumia's body collided with the walls of the dojo and slowly lost its flames.

"You did well honey." Astoria said as she patted Rumia's head and healed her minor injuries. Rumia looked up at her mother with tears in her eyes and hugged her mother.

"B-B-But I didn't win!" Rumia stuttered as she cried in her mother's chest. Astoria rubbed Rumia's head and assured her.

"Rumia, you're not going to win all of the time. Even I've lost a couple of times, losing is natural everyone loses at some point no matter how strong they are. Now it's up to the loser if they want to continue losing or do they want to learn why they lost and make themselves better. Now Rumia do you want to be a loser or a winner?" Astoria asked Rumia who wiped her eyes and looked at her mother with determination unfit for someone her age.

"I want to be a winner!" Rumia said and Astoria smiled.

"Then let's learn why you lost shall we? Maybe I'll even teach you the Ignis family sword arts." Astoria said and Rumia got up and followed her mother to the center of the destroyed dojo. Astoria swiped her hand and they arrived in the middle of a large forest.

"Woaah, that's so cool! I wanna learn that spell!" Rumia said as she looked at her mother with a childlike curiosity.

"Maybe later Rumia, this spell takes a lot of practice." Astoria said with a slight giggle and Rumia nodded.

"Now onto why you lost." Astoria said as she began to explain to Rumia why she lost and Rumia took her mother's words to heart.

"Since you paid attention so well, I'll teach you the sword arts." Astoria said and Rumia almost jumped to the moon from pure excitement. After around thirty seconds Rumia calmed down and Astoria began teaching her.

"This is the first move called Flaming Gust of the Phoenix." Astoria said as her bokken bursted into flames and she vanished leaving nothing but ashes behind. Rumia's eyes had the blue ring again but it was much more prominent than before. Astoria reappeared behind one of the many giant trees in the forest. The tree was cut into three and each section was turning into ash due to the heat of the flames.

"Cool!" Rumia said as her eyes lost the blue ring and her mother got into another stance.

"Now the second move is very fast so make sure to pay attention." Astoria said and Rumia nodded.

"The second move is called Falling Feathers of the Phoenix." Astoria's arms and legs were covered in flames and she disappeared and reappeared across the forest. Rumia's eyes had trouble following her even with the blue ring surrounding them.

'Focus harder!' Rumia told herself and her yellow eyes turned completely blue. Immediately her brain was filled with information about how trees work, what molecules make them up, how many cells are in each tree, how fast the wind was blowing and which direction it was coming from, the mineral contents in the soil, and much more.

"KAH!" Rumia's eyes went blank and her nose bled as she passed out. Astoria rushed to Rumia and teleported them to their cave.

"Rumia?!" Astoria said with shock at her daughter suddenly passing out. Astoria's mind began running a mile a minute and was filled with countless reasons and solutions for those reasons. Astoria grabbed the air and Vesper appeared in her hands.

"Rumia suddenly collapsed! Is she sick?! No, she has Phoenix blood in her she doesn't get sick. Magic deficiency?! No, she hardly used any Ethernano. Vesper, I don't understand why she collapsed!" Astoria said with heavy amounts of panic in her voice. Vesper was shocked at his wife's panic but stayed calm.

"How about we ask her when she wakes up?" Vesper suggested and Astoria calmed down and waited beside her daughter.

[2 hours after her collapse, The Cave.]

Rumia opened her eyes and was immediately hugged by her worried parents.

"Rumia what happened?!" Astoria asked with worry and Rumia remembered and explained.

"I was trying to follow your movements but you were going too fast so I focused really hard then all this information about a lot of things came in my head then I passed out." Rumia said really quickly. Astoria and Vesper were confused and questioned their daughter.

"What do you mean by a lot of information honey?" Vesper asked.

"Uhm, I learned about the insides of a tree and how to break it apart and make it not work anymore. It was information about how things work and how to effectively break them apart or put them together." Rumia explained and her parents sighed.

"This is probably another ability from your Innate Magic. I think you passed out due to an overload of information." Astoria said as she wiped her forehead of nonexistent sweat.

"Does that mean we can get back to training? I like training it's fun!" Rumia asked and her parents nodded.

"This time you'll be training with me!" Vesper said and Rumia smiled.

"Okay!" Rumia said as she and Vesper vanished with a thunderclap.
