a night of lost hope

Luz pov:

I fell onto the ground in pouring rain, looking back at King. "King!" I started slamming on the door for a few minutes, just crying my eyes out while everyone behind me just watched.

Amity slowly laid a hand on my shoulder. "Its gonna be OK.. we will figure something out, we should get somewhere safe."

Everyone agreed with that, getting up and holding onto each other as we left for my house, looking at them. "We will be safe there, my mom and brother will probably be surprised."

Gus suddenly popped up. "You know you rarely talk about your brother.. why is that?" Everyone turned to me, making me sweat and look down in Shame.

"I..I don't like thinking about him during this, I wanted to escape what I did..a few months before I came to the boiling Isles I caught a snake, I have never seen its kind before but it turned out to be very deadly..my brother saved me but it bit his arm..he lost it after nearly dying due to me..I..I can't stand seeing that stump..what I made him lose due to my mistake.."

No one knew what to say, how could they? How do you make someone feel better after admitting that? Willow soon spoke up. "Luz..I'm so, so sorry about what about to your brother, but I'm sure he doesn't hate you or anything..from what you have told us, he seems like a loving guy..I'm sure he's waiting for you like your mom is."

I simply nodded, praying to titan she was right, I stood up and looked at them all. "Ok! Off to my house.." I held amitys hand, walking back to my childhood home.

David pov:

I took off my fake arm, smiling as the runes I looked at it, seeing celtic runes over it. "Awesome.. with this, I should be able to absorb more damage with this arm, and it should repair itself."

With a smile, I tried out my arm, waving it around happily. "Huh? Oh mom's back." I headed out, seeing she was doing something in the kitchen, seeing her reading a news story with a girl with armour in it. "Wait..Anne? This is the night alright."

I sat down at the table, vee reading a book next to me when the door rang, my new mama heading to see who it is, as I got ready for a gasp, hearing it as I head out, seeing luz with her friends, locking eyes with her. "Hey..luz.." I slowly open my arms, ready for a hug.

Luz pov.

It was so good to see my mom again, but then I saw him, my big brother and then I just ran and hugged him, crying into his chest, feeling both his arms around me..both arms?.

"What?" I pulled back, seeing David with a robot arm. "No way! You got a robot arm! That's awesome!.." I forze, remembering why he needed it, and held my head in Shame, not able to meet his eyes, until I felt him hug me again, just holding onto my big brother.

David pov.

I held onto her, looking down at my new sister, knowing their is alot of intense feelings but let's her relax, looking at everyone. "Come on, we can talk in my room." Nodded at my mom, heading into my room and looked at luz and her friends. "So..mind introducing yourselves?"

Willow went first. "Oh! Hi I'm willow, luzs friend from hex side."

Gus went next. "I am her friend from school to, and president of the human fan club..your arm is so cool."

Hunter just said his name. "Hunter."

Amity went next, clearly getting embarrassed from how red she got. "I'm Amity..I um..I'm luzs girlfriend." She stuck her out her hand in and out, again and again, clearly nervous.

"Well, it's nice to meet you all, luz, tell me..what happened? You look..not great." I listened to her tell me the story, shocked and horrified, seeing it in a cartoon is alot different, the destruction was horrifying to even think about, I just held my little sister, letting her cry it out.

Time skip 3 hours.

I was helping the boys get set up, before I went to get ready for bed, getting in and felt luz get into bed next to me, clearly shaking and I held her until she went to sleep, looking down at her, I got ready for belos, as that asshole was going to pay for what he did.
