“I Will not allow you to take her.” Monika declared, her face directly to the captain of the guards in their main hall. A frown formed on the captain’s face. “You are to obey the king’s orders, otherwise we have no choice but to take you to court with her. Then you will also be regarded as a traitor to the crown, is that what you want?” Monika laughed at his words while covering her mouth, she almost went into a full bow from the laugh’s impact. Asterin was frozen in her place. She did not understand what this could possibly mean.
