Chapter 4 - Following the Big Shot

"Wolf girl, huh?" Chen Weilong pulled out a notebook and pen from somewhere and started writing.

Huang Weihong, peeking over, saw him jot down "Lulu - Wolf - 8" and couldn't help but ask curiously, "Weren't we searched when we came in? Where did you get that?"

"Secret," Chen Weilong replied, clearly not intending to explain. When Roel also looked over, he closed the notebook and somehow made it disappear.

Feeling a bit awkward, Roel called out to the others, "Stop dawdling, let's go."

They followed Lulu out of the cell, with the other boys trailing behind. In a small lounge outside, they found the other girls.

As soon as Xu Jiaying saw Huang Weihong, she ran over and clung tightly to his arm. Aka, glancing oddly at Lulu washing her hands in a nearby sink, addressed the group, "There's no immediate threat here. Everyone, search around. If you find the armory, use the walkie-talkie to notify the others. I've tuned them all, so you should know how to use them, right?"

As she spoke, Aka tossed several walkie-talkies onto the sofa. Kasha noticed some still had traces of blood on them, making him curious about Aka's "no immediate threat" comment. Did it mean the threat had been eliminated?

Before leaving, Aka pointed to an iron door opposite them and warned, "Don't go in that direction."

To save time and find weapons quickly, she then left through a nearby security door without further ado.

The preparatory students exchanged glances and each took a walkie-talkie. Huang Weihong and Xu Jiaying followed Aka, while Chen Weilong and Chen Weihu ignored her warning and entered the iron door. Scorpion had already disappeared without anyone noticing which direction she went.

Kasha picked a walkie-talkie with noticeable bloodstains, lightly tracing his finger over it, leaving a small mark. The blood hadn't fully dried yet.

Roel, seeing Kasha and Mia still there, hesitated before suggesting, "Why don't we stick together? It's safer than being alone, right?"

His last question was directed at Lulu, who had finished washing her hands and was tying up the unconscious guard. She glanced at Roel and said, "Whatever."

Roel remembered Lulu lifting the guard by the neck with one hand. With her around, they should be safe.

"Sorry, I refuse. I don't want to team up with a brute," Mia said, clearly referring to Lulu. She then sat on the sofa, stretching lazily, her slender curves on full display. She even winked at the two boys. "Besides, you boys should do the searching. A gentleman who doesn't consider a lady's needs won't find a girlfriend."

Roel blushed like a shy boy and avoided Mia's gaze, while Kasha simply looked away, pretending not to notice. Though Mia was beautiful, Kasha had seen many pretty girls and was somewhat immune. Moreover, Mia seemed to recognize the "young master," staring at him during his introduction, so he preferred to avoid her.

Lulu ignored Mia's taunt, picked a clean walkie-talkie, and turned to Kasha. "Ready?"

Kasha nodded and followed her. Roel glanced at Mia, who was lounging on the sofa, and reminded her, "Don't wander off. If you're in danger, use the walkie-talkie to call us."

He then hurried to catch up with Lulu and Kasha.

"Hey, wait for me!"

Now, Mia was alone in the lounge. She looked disdainfully at the walkie-talkies, then closed her eyes for a nap.

Meanwhile, Kasha and Lulu entered a passage marked with a gear symbol and several red exclamation points. They hadn't gone a hundred meters when Roel caught up.

"Why didn't you wait for me?"

"You left her alone?" Kasha gave Roel a strange look. "That'll make her like you less."

"Huh? Should I go back?" Roel blushed again. "I mean, it's dangerous for a girl to be alone."

"No danger," Lulu said from the front, her white wolf ears twitching. Kasha felt an urge to touch them.

"Touch them and I'll kill you."

"..."

—Can you read minds?

"No."

"..." Kasha.

"What?" Roel, still debating whether to return for Mia, was confused by Lulu's comment.

"Nothing. Have you decided? Come with us or play knight for the princess?" Kasha asked.

"I'll come with you... We need weapons to protect ourselves, right?"

—Some people can protect themselves without weapons, but you... even with one, it might not help.

Kasha sighed inwardly, seeing Roel holding the walkie-talkie upside down.

"!!!" Lulu suddenly stopped.

"Did you find something?" Kasha noticed her wolf ears perk up.

Lulu sniffed the air. "Fresh blood."

Without explaining, she sprinted ahead, quickly covering twenty meters. Kasha and Roel struggled to keep up, their physical abilities far inferior. Within seconds, Lulu had reached the end of the passage and disappeared around a corner.

When Kasha and Roel reached the corner, they saw an open round iron door with a large skull painted on it.

Ignoring the warning, Lulu had gone through. Kasha hesitated but followed. Roel, seeing the skull, looked like he might cry but bit his lip and followed as Kasha disappeared from view.

After they all entered, a light on the wall beside the iron door turned on, and the door automatically closed and locked.
