Missing child, found child part 4

Kyung glanced at Robert and thought to herself that he was still as arrogant and conniving as when he was a young man. Dr.Park and her had heard part of the conversation that he just had with Dr.Howard and she could already figure out he was planning something, the weasel. "Dr.Holiday, I must have slipped my mind, it's my fault that you didn't know that little Rogue was back in Grand Central city. I apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused you and your family." Robert smile stiffly trying to look remorseful. "Hmm...really? You forgot to tell us that Rogue has been living in Grand Central city for the past eight years? Poppycock! You purposefully kept the girl from us but it really doesn't matter anymore does it. I have already taken steps to correct this issue." Kyung's beautiful face was illuminated with the brightness of her smile.

Robert was feeling slightly unsettled, "Now Dr.Holiday why would we try to keep Rogue from you? She is after all your only grandchild, it would be cruel to do something like this, my feelings are hurt." Mr.Ling was starting to sweating because of his nervousness, he glanced at his boss's face and he saw his crafty eyes slightly squinting as he tried to formulate a new plan and be calm in front of the old woman."I have a question for you Dr.Holiday, how did you find out about Rogue having an accident?" Dr.Howard wondered why Mr.Drake asked that question in particular, why doesn't he ask about who hit his niece and what is needed to get her back on her way to be healed.

"Well, that's an easy question to answer, we saw the accident happened and I administered first aid to her while help arrived. I followed the ambulance to the hospital because I was worried about the girl, little did I know that she was my granddaughter. I just thank God that I did follow her here if not I would have never found the dear child." Kyung lovingly smoothed Rogue's hair and smiled sweetly as she settled down with a sigh. "Oh, that's amazing, we're indebted to you then, I'm sure that she made it alive to the hospital due to your diligent care at the crash site." Robert was still trying to figure out Kyung's plan but couldn't get any closer to figuring out what she previously meant with her comments.

Suddenly Mr.Perry walked into the room followed by an elderly man and two serious looking women. "Your honor, ladies this is Dr.Kyung Holiday and this is her granddaughter Rogue Elizabeth Drake. The reason why have summoned you here is simple, the police contacted her current guardian and informed them of her accident and the seriousness of her accident and her guardian didn't respond in a timely manner. The police informed Child Services regarding the case, they tries to contact the legal guardian again, they spoke to Mrs. Drake who very simply told them not to contact her regarding and I quote, " that worthless girl" to contact her husband. They tried to contact Mr.Drake and were told he was in a meeting and could not be disturbed at all no matter what. Clearly the child is being neglected, in fact the legal guardian kept her whereabouts a secret from the Holiday family and they can't understand why. The Holiday's are requesting that Ms.Drake's legal guardianship be transferred to them as she is their only grandchild and they are definitely capable of assuring that she is cared for properly not only now when she is injured but also after she recuperates."

Robert's face turns an ugly dark color as he loudly calls out, "This is preposterous! We have never neglected the girl before, this women misunderstood what my wife said regarding Rogue. She loves her very much, just as if she was our own daughter." The woman that spoke to Mrs.Drake coldly looked at Robert, "Mr.Drake all phone calls that we do are recorded as per the law, would you like to hear the complete conversation I had with your wife earlier. That will surely clear up any questions or concerns you have regarding the situation but I can assure you that in the thirty years that I have been an officer of the Child Services department I have never written a report without any supporting evidence that shows why I took the decision to remove a child from the family. Believe me, I don't take my responsibility lightly and I will make sure that the safety of the child is my priority at all times."
