Chapter 8: Side quest of the day

The kid was terrified on what he saw. The man on the ground was shot and was bleeding out. The kid immediately went up to the man. Crying about the man on the ground. Trying to reassure himself that the man was going to survive. But fate has something else up it's sleeves. The man died in the arms of the kid. But his last words were, " Please live on for me and don't be an idiot." Said the man with his last breath he had." Dad!" Yelled Strat as he woke up. When he woke up his body was sweaty all over and breathing heavily. Once he felt that he was dirty he immediately went to take a shower. Afterwards he went to check on little David but to his surprise, David, was walking on his own. Strat was surprised on how the development of David. Then he remembered that he had to feed David and himself. So he grabbed and held him to go to the breakfast lobby to get food. Strat asked for a booster chair for David. Once he got one he sat him in it near a table in the corner. Strat came into a line to get them food. He got 2 waffles and a muffin. He got some apple sauce and a little chicken and gravy flavored Gerbers. As he got the food he noticed that he needed a drink so he got some orange juice and brought everything to he table that was in the corner with David. He first fed David." Come on eat it David eat it. You'll need it to grow big and strong." Said Strat struggling to feed David. It took some time but he finally got him to eat it. Strat spent about 1 hour in the breakfast lobby. Afterwards he went back to his room to drop off David. As he entered the room he had to turn the robot back on since he forgot to. He gave a few commands to it and left the room to start his day. As he left the hotel he went to his car to start driving to the closest hospital to check on himself. Took him about 20 minutes to arrive there. He drove his car in a parking spot and came out of his car. He walked for a bit then found the entrance. After finding the entrance he proceeded to go in. Once he entered he went up to the front desk and asked to have a check up. The medical receptionist then proceeded to say, " Alright umm you can go to room 666. Which is in the 6th floor." Strat understood and went to the elevator to the 6th floor. He pushed a button to get the elevator. He wondered if this city is even high tech. If it were the would have something to teleport them to their rooms or any location in the building. The elevator door opened then he entered. Took him about 5 minutes but he arrived to the 6th floor. He went to his room and waited for the doctor to check him up. The doctor arrived and checked him up. Took Strat 10 minutes for the check up. Afterwards he got the results from his check up and it said he was pretty healthy and he needs to lower down on the cybernetics. Strat ignored the cybernetic part since he doesn't care about it. He left the hospital then went to a local restaurant to eat. He went to McDonald's ( not promoting) and got himself some food with some loose money he found on the ground when walking up to the restaurant. He ordered to eat there. So he went to the corner table to eat. When they brought his food he started to eat. Then he was interrupted during his meal by the system warning him.

Strat was confused but chose the safe option and leave the place. He immediately ate everything on his tray and proceeded to leave and return to the hotel. Once he arrived to the hotel he immediately went to his room. Once he entered his room he immediately went out the bathroom to take a shower. Afterwards he went to find David in his room. But to his surprise he was already sleeping in the crib.The robot was watching the TV to learn more information about the world. Strat sighed and went to his bed to sleep. As he slept he wondered who was the person that had a system. As he thought he slowly drifted to sleep and started to dream.
