CHAPTER 5 - THE DREAM

They felt a cold wind blow down thier necks, as the turned around they all saw Daniel standing up, and looking at them coldly, but something seemed off his eyes were different it was as if they inverted.

His brown pupils turned white and his white sclera turned black, as they stared at him a deep sense of fear enveloped them.

"He must be playing some tricks on us to make us scared," one of the boys said as he scuffed.

As he took a step forward to meet Daniel, and he suddenly fell, Daniel who was more than ten meters away was right in front of him, "I must have slipped" he thought as he stared at Daniel who was looking at him.

The other people in the group were all terrified, they just blinked, they just blinked for god's sake and now one of their companions was on the floor bleeding as Daniel stood quietly in front of him.

The boy tried to stand up but reality hit him hard when he found out he couldn't move his body, he felt some wet sticky substance around his body, he looked down and all he saw was blood.

Blood streams were rushing out of his nose like the flowing currents of a river, he was confused!! How could that happen, he just slipped and fell, he didn't land with his nose so why is it bleeding?

He turned his eyes to the other parts of his face and what he saw left him mortified, his jaw was as swollen as a balloon.

His eyes turned to Daniel standing by him and the truth struck him hard, it was Daniel that punched him, but how? He just got punched by him moments ago and he didn't even feel anything but now just once punch could potentially kill him.

The other people shook out of their frozen state and stared at Daniel intensely.

"Let's attack him quickly before he pulls off any stunts again just that one move would have drained his energy let's not waste time," the girls said to her goons.

The three of them all ran toward Daniel throwing kicks and punches, but the girl didn't actually throw her attack at him instead she immediately went back.

"Whatever thing Daniel has been using would have run out by now, there's no way he is actually that strong, hmm he wouldn't even be able to dodge my kicks," one thought as he aimed a kick toward Daniel's neck.

Clkk…

His leg was caught and Daniel was now staring at him, his strength betrayed his physique, in a normal day a simple wind could pick him up but here he stood as steady as a mountain.

In the next second he could see himself gradually moving away from Daniel, he was thrown. It was unknown how that frail body was able to throw him so far and with that strength.

He felt his head and body hitting something, his head hurt so much it felt like he had been repeatedly banging it on the floor, he turned around just to see his friend beneath him blacked out, he was thrown at his friend.

He turned and looked for the leader of the group and it turned out she had moved far behind betraying the very orders she gave, and then he blacked out.

"Daniel lets just end the conflict here you can take your food back and we wouldn't come to disturb you ever again" she said trying to persuade him.

She tried begging him, shouting at him but nothing worked it seemed as if she was talking to blank air.

"I'll leave the basket here and go away please don't follow me I want the matter to end here" she said trying to convince him.

As soon as she took a step backward she felt a cold breeze flow to her face, In that instant, Daniel appeared in front of her clenching his fist and throwing a punch at her jaw.

Although she saw what was happening, she couldn't stop it, the speed of the punch was something too fast for her to dodge, all she could do was to clench her jaw.

Boom

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Her screams echoed all through the street as she was sent flying to the floor.

Not only was her jaw punched, but her face was sandwiched into the floor making her lose consciousness, he didn't try to throw a punch after just one was enough to deal with them all and after that, he just fell and landed in the floor as if he was sleeping.

While all that was happening, Daniel's mind was in another place.

"Where's this" he thought.

Everywhere was just pitch black and silent, he tried walking around bit he just kept going on and on till he eventually gave up.

He heard a noise, in this quiet place it was like a loud speaker, he moved to the direction of the noise and what he saw shocked him.

He saw a man walking in what he could call a butchering of monsters or a battlefield, the corpses of monsters littered the place and in front of the man there were literal armies of this large beast waiting for him.

What he saw afterward couldn't even be described as a war, it was just a one-sided destruction, just that one man slaughtered armies full of behemoths, dragons and other mystical creatures with just his bare hands, it was unbelievable.

Just one of those monsters would be able to destroy the whole city he was living in and there were tens and hundreds of thousands of them being killed by just one man.

He stood in the battlefield alone looking at his work, his smile under that condition made him look like he had just completed a work of art, his clothes weren't even stained with a drop of blood making him look odd from his surroundings.

He sat down in the battlefield and stared at me with a smile as if seeing through time and space then said, "Nothing last forever, the rains will return and the river will rise and when IT disappears the truce will end and I hope you are strong enough to overcome them."

The black world disappeared and I was greeted with lights blinding my eyes as I woke up in somewhere totally unfamiliar
