CHAPTER 25 - CORE

Daniel sitting in the pool was feeling refreshed, if he hadn't held his breath since the beginning till now and he was deep underwater he wouldn't even be uncomfortable.

Rather than just the energy seeping into his pores and entering his body, the blood was moving into his body.

The blood nourished all the deficient cells in his body making them stronger.

They followed a process, the small cell would be nourished then broken into half which would then be nourished then broken again.

This process created an alarming amount of new cells in his body, and drove away the old ones.

His bones were constantly being refined under the pressure of the blood and the energy inside it.

The force that was accumulating in his body increased, although not as much as the time he fought Anita in that state, it was considered much.

In the very dark environment, both his and Anita's bodies were glowing.

An ethereal white color covered Anita's body and a dark red covered Daniel.

Micheal who was still in the pool couldn't bear it any longer and left, but not before achieving something.

He had gained a connection with metals, he could feel all the metal in the surroundings, even underneath him, but it was hard to control it.

But he was stunned as he saw Daniel and Anita in the pool, normally he wouldn't be able to see them, but due to the glowing aura around them he could see a little clearly.

At this time the moon was about to cross meaning the end of this year's awakening, Anita was the first to leave.

She was reborn, her original dark skin had become lighter, her hair grew longer and her body grew compact.

At that moment the rare occurrence ended, the moons had separated, but Daniel was still inside the pool.

They could see clearly using the torches around since the eclipse had ended, but couldn't see him, he was still deep inside the pool.

They could all see the red substance in the pool turning dim, it was losing its essence.

Some minutes later, the blood-red pool turned transparent, and Daniel was seen sitting at the bottom with his eyes closed.

Not long after he left the pool, he was different everyone felt it.

His long Afro hair had been cut short, barely leaving hair in his head compared to what he had before, but he wasn't bald, he just had much less hair.

All awakeners could feel an enormous amount of energy contained in that small body of his.

They felt like the energy just emanating from his physical body could rival or even surpass a medium-level awakener.

Just for a brief moment, they saw his eyes turn black, but when they blinked it was back to normal, so they believed it was their eyes.

In that brief moment that his eyes turned black Daniel felt total control of both his body and the force he had absorbed in the pool.

He felt like everything in his body was in his total control, his blood, his strength, the force in he absorbed, He could even feel each ligament in his body, and he felt a tiny core right above his belly button.

He didn't understand what that was, it felt like a seed in his stomach.

All that control disappeared in an instant, and he felt full.

Like his body had too much energy, if this was before he wouldn't even be able to move due to the amount of force in him, but the absorption of the blood has made his body stronger.

He looked around and saw he was the last to get off the pool, and the blood-red pool he was in had turned transparent for a reason.

"You all should go and have your rest, you might be uncomfortable your body might be brimming with strength at the moment and any little thing can make you lose control, a little bit of rest and training would solve it, and tomorrow you all should come the center of the inner city," the city lord said.

Most of them went on their different routes back to the academy, while some walked slower and talked.

"How do you feel after the awakening?" Micheal asked, talking to Daniel.

"I feel refreshed and full of power," he answered.

"By the way, you look totally different," Micheal added,

"I look different how?" Daniel asked.

"It might be because of your hair that became short or your skin that became better, if I barely knew you before and I saw you today I wouldn't even know you are the same person," Micheal added.

Daniel hadn't taken a notice of his appearance, mostly because it was still nighttime and he had just gotten awakened.

But what hurt him the most was his hair, it damaged him silently.

It was like saving money in a place for more than seven years, then one day you come back and all your money is gone.

He knew the pain he had to grow that hair, he had been sickly since he was born and due to that nutrients in his body didn't distribute evenly leading to him lacking hair.

After years, although not much to the amount other people had he still had a lot, but now he was back at the beginning.

He didn't fret because he had been healed, and maybe his hair would grow faster than before, he held high hopes for it.

"Well how was your awakening?" Daniels asked Micheal.

"It was good and I have a surprise for you, I'll show you tomorrow," he replied.

Aghhhhhhhh

"Why can't you just tell me now?" Daniel asked frantically.

It annoyed him when someone was about to tell him something and shifted it to another time.

Like why tell me now if you're going to tell me later, don't you know I'll be curious?

"Well don't be mad, I promise tomorrow at the city center I'll tell you about it," Micheal said.

After that, they all went to the academy and had a good night's sleep.
