Rumors and Prophesies

Today, I witnessed a miracle right before my very eyes that left me in awe. I couldn't believe how a single phenomenon could completely change all my plans. The birth of a double awakener was a rare occurrence that had the potential to disrupt the power balance of the three territories.

According to historical records, a double awakener is born once every 1000 years, and it is said that this event has a significant impact on the entire world. Some accounts even claim that World War 3 erupted as a result of this phenomenon, although there are no concrete records of the events during that period. All information gathered from that time until today is based on hearsay from surviving civilizations.

According to these accounts, the dispute to rule over the lands was ignited by a country that believed their god was superior and that everyone should follow their lead. This led to a war when they invaded another country's holy land and destroyed it in the process, claiming it was a divine retribution for non-believers of their god.

This sparked a widespread argument among all the nations, causing them to choose sides and be divided into three factions. Two of these factions chose to fight for their beliefs, while the remaining side tried to stay out of it but eventually got involved in the process.

During the so-called Holy War, one of the factions resorted to underhanded tactics and sought power from a god. It is said that a god then appeared in the form of a large serpent, wreaked havoc, and divided the territory into three by literally splitting the Earth's crust.

As skeptical as I was about these accounts, I couldn't ignore the potential consequences. The structure of the present Earth seemed to be the only plausible evidence of such an occurrence. I was not one to easily believe in prophecies, but what truly worried me were those who believed in them, as they could use it to cause chaos.

Lost in deep thought, I suddenly noticed Rahu glancing at me from afar. I quickly regained my composure and immediately called for all security personnel to be on high alert. I gave clear orders to the chief to restrict entry and exit from the premises and to activate the school's firewall to prevent any information from being leaked.

I then summoned the representatives from the committee, the four new department heads, and the subject heads. I instructed them to contain the situation and assemble the students in their respective classes.

After giving the orders, I went to the podium and delivered a speech to the gathered students. "It seems that we have a lot of talented individuals in our school. I am thrilled with the results you have all achieved, especially the final student who exceeded my expectations. I want to remind you that while you are exceptional, there may come a time when someone better than you emerges. Life is not always fair, so it's important to remain humble at all times. I hope to see all of you in the future, earning the respect you deserve as elite shamans." As soon as I stepped down from the podium, the students erupted in applause, excited for what the future held.

I strode down the polished hallway, my footsteps echoing in the empty corridors until I reached my office. With a wave of my hand, I motioned for my bodyguards to remain outside and activated the soundproof barrier. As I pushed open the door, I caught sight of the two lovebirds sitting side by side, their faces flushed with embarrassment, as if caught in the act of something.

I cleared my throat to get their attention and couldn't resist a teasing remark. "I know you two are excited to be alone right now, but please don't use my office for that." I arched an eyebrow, curious to see their reaction.

To my surprise, their guilty expressions deepened, and I couldn't help but wonder if they had really been up to something. However, I pushed aside my curiosity as there were more pressing matters to attend to.

Turning my attention to the student, Rahu, I asked sternly, "Is there something you want to explain to us right now?" I fixed him with a penetrating gaze, hoping to elicit some information.

Rahu looked genuinely confused as he stammered, "Dean, I don't understand what's happening to me either. Perhaps it's the purge door's fault that I became like this." I studied his eyes and found no signs of deception. I then turned to the doctor who had been tasked with observing Rahu.

The doctor seemed startled as she spoke up, "You tasked me with observing him the whole time, but nothing really happened since the incident." She sat quietly, her eyes fixed on Rahu as if he were a tamed animal.

I couldn't help but feel annoyed by the friendly atmosphere between the two. This was a school premise, after all, and I needed to ensure that things didn't get out of hand.

After a thorough interrogation, I decided to send Rahu back to his new class with the doctor as his instructor. I quickly made arrangements to keep his secret from spreading and let out a sigh of relief once he was out of my office. "He really gave me a headache this time. I'll have to reorganize my plans ahead of time and make sure there are no rats on school premises. And as for the kid, it seems like he's got a formidable bodyguard with him. Kids these days are like hot-blooded animals." I slouched in my chair, feeling the weight of the day's events.

As I stared up at the ceiling, I found myself reminiscing about my hometown where my family resided. I reached for something overhead, clenching my fist, and whispered softly, "When I get home after this, everyone will call me a hero." The thought of being reunited with my loved ones brought a sense of longing and determination to see things through.
