Leaving CITY-R

Conan was sitting in his hotel room, playing one video again and again. It was the news broadcast about the remnants of Augustine, sweat ran through his face.

' There is not much time left.' Conan thought, ' They are seriously going to attack the kingdom. I should leave this City now, I will have to make preparations.'

He scratched his hand with both of his hands, several thoughts were running through his mind.

' I am not ready, I am not ready.' Conan thought. ' I don't know where Axel is, I am all alone. I don't even know what kind of powers I will have, me being there will only cause meaningless bloodshed.'

The phone in his room rang several times but he didn't answer it, he crouched down and sat with his head on his knees. ' Why do they want to start a war? Father would have never wanted it, My father told me to live peacefully. But I can't abandon them, they are the knights of Augustine.'

' Will It happen?' He thought.

* knock* * Knock*

Someone knocked on his door, he hadn't eaten anything since yesterday so he went to take the food that he ordered. Wiping his face with the clothes he was wearing he opened the door.

" Yo! Wassup!" Outside someone with a food trolly stood, the man was wearing a cap and a fake moustache which can be recognised by anyone.

" Huh!" Conan exclaimed, looking at the person, through the hat he could see was a boy with blonde hair. The boy removed his disguise and tried to push the truly inside through the door.

" Ben!" Conan said.

" Why weren't you picking up my calls? I was worried, you know." He said as he finally sat down.

" How did you get in here?"

" It was easy," Ben said, he no longer looked fat, one could say that he looked as healthy as Conan.

The reason was his daily energy control training, even though he isn't still able to control anything. This had helped him improve his physique. The fat in his body had completely reduced to nothing and he even feels like his body had been cleansed from the inside.

" Sit down, tell me what happened." Ben said, " You were crying, right? I could just tell with your eyes. Did something happen?" He could not make any guess as he didn't know much about Conan.

" Yes, something happened. I am thinking of leaving." He said.

" Is that so?" It was sad for Ben but he knew the day would come. He couldn't bring himself to say that he also wants to go together with Conan.

" We will have to organize a farewell party then," Ben said.

" I am leaving today."

" Hey Conan, stop hurting yourself. You know you can tell me what happened to you. We are friends."

" How will telling you will help?"

" I am saying this from experience when I asked you to train me. I didn't tell you that I was doing it for my father, you found out about this from my uncle and even helped me, I know you gave your bike to miss Yelena for the information. I hid everything, thinking that I don't want to bother anyone else because of my problems. However, I felt relief knowing my friends knew about my situation and were willing to help." Ben explained. " If you don't want to tell me then that's fine as well."

Conan thought for several minutes before saying anything.

" I am sorry Ben–"

" No, Please tell me." Ben tried forcing Conan.

" Alright, It's just that, some people need my help but I don't think I should get involved. As I will cause more harm than help them. That's everything I can tell you.

" Then don't, simple."

" But If I don't help and leave it to someone else to handle the matter then it would mean running away from my responsibility," Conan said, he was hoping that Brutus and Dave could help in his stead, But what if they also try to avoid this matter.

" I will say the same thing. If you getting involved makes things worse for them then you shouldn't." Ben said. " However, you can try to do something that may help them. Like an indirect helper without revealing yourself."

It was a good idea, Conan could try to do something that will help the remnants indirectly. Suddenly another knock was heard on the door, Conan went to open the door, thinking this time it was a real staff of the hotel.

" Yo! Wassup!" Just like Ben Yelena said those words and started to push her trolley inside.

" Yelena!" Ben shouted in surprise. " What are you doing here? I thought I was going to do this."

" I thought you told me to do it," Yelena said.

" Haha, What were you guys trying to do?" He chuckled.

" So you guys finally talked, what happened Conan?"

" Nothing, I think I've got my solution."

" Is that so then it's fine, right?"

" Let's go train then," Yelena said.

" Miss Yelena, he is leaving today," Ben said making Yelena surprised and anxious about her plans.

" Will you travel with us, Conan?" She asked. " Ben and I would like to travel with you together, we can help each other."

" We can do that Yelena, I think I will be needing Ben and your help with something."

Ben didn't expect to hear that, he had thought that Conan would take him with him when he leaves as a friend. But the situation seemed different now, Conan was worried about involving him in something big, he understood that Conan had thought of doing the same as Ben had advised which was to not get directly involved.

" You mean it, right? I will go make preparation. Let's meet at Ben's house." Yelena said as she ran out of the room, there were many things that she would have needed to prepare if they were leaving today.

" I don't need to rush, I already have made my preparation long ago," Ben said and again sat down on Conan's bed. "Ask me if you need any help."

" There is not much luggage but are you okay leaving on such short notice what about your uncle," Conan asked.

" Do not worry about him I will tell him?" Ben said. " By the way, you said you need my help so tell me what is it?"

" I need to find a person, His name is Axel. I will ask him to get involved in my place." Conan answered.
