THEY CAN THINK

Wait as I got to the front I suddenly stopped, the dark orb in my inventory started vibrating and instantly I knew there were people waiting to ambush us, I should have know that leading this many beasts to move away would make the humans worry although it could be beasts to but I highly doubted it I couldn't sense any beast in the area and neither could Tessa and the others.

I made a quick plan and quickly passed out orders to Tessa and we continued moving.

Meanwhile the people who were waiting to ambush the beast barely even noticed the short pause, suddenly a Plated Eagle flew out and ran towards them with great speed, what the hell the eagle seemed scared and was just running but he was running in their direction where all the traps where, the eagle made a few caws but of course they couldn't understand beast tongue if they could they would have said him saying for the Saviour.

Boss what should we do if he continues moving he will set off the traps and the beast will be on alert, a member of the group contacted their boss, let it go it won't survive the first three it would just make subduing and killing the remaining beast harder they won't turn back simply because a eagle running away due they are beasts who can't think, and plus the traps are set to be activated by a large group even if he activates some it would only be a fraction of the real deal.

All this was done in a matter of seconds and by the time the Plated Eagle approached the first trap they had finished conversing.

Suddenly as the eagle got to the first trap he turned and ran in a horizontal line setting off a third of the first trap that could have killed at least fifty beast before dying, if they had looked closely they would have seen the fanatic look and the joy in the eyes of the eagle despite being at death's door,

Before they could even process what had made the eagle to run in a horizontal line at the last minute, there were more eagles coming behind him each of them worked in perfect coordination and started their horizontal dash from where their dead comrade stopped and buy the time three plated eagles were dead the first trap designed to kill at least a hundred and injure more was completely useless since it had already been set off and then a set of Tigers followed aiming to set off the second array of traps.

And the beasts never stopped moving and because of that the distance between the beast who were setting off their trap and the horde wasn't much no one would be willing to risk their life to kill the beasts that were running to set off their traps, it was as if there plan had been seen through and a simple counter had been made.

HOW!!!!!

Meanwhile in the side of the beasts, they were only in awe of how I knew that there were traps in front of us and of my ingenious plan to reduce our losses, I had ordered to continue moving so I could speak telepathically to the beasts eagles when they approached the trap and turns out that simple move had more benefits that I thought the assailant where scared to come out and kill them because of the distance between us it was easy for tens of my people to rush out and ripp them to shreds, as we got to the first trap I discretely extracted the blood of the dead eagles.

They revered me so when I had asked if anybody was willing to die for the sake of all of us and a few offered themselves without hesitation, although some where doubtful seeing the traps that made their instincts scream danger being activated thanks to my brilliant plan only made them reverence me more, even the Man Eating Spider King was in awe of how I knew and my faith energy was shooting up at a crazy pace it was already above five hundred and was still going.

I informed Tessa to tell all my people to be on guard because I didn't think the assailants could wait any longer while seeing their plan foiled right in front of them, now that I looked around there were signs of taps being set but they thought that the beasts couldn't think so they couldn't care less.

Although the traps had been set off it was still dangerous walking through a field of spikes, fire and poison gas in different places and some traps that hadn't been set off so we also lost some beast but they weren't even up to the two number digits.

I extracted their blood crystals while making it look like I was doing a ritual for them, in the eyes of the beasts this showed how much I cared and then when I transmuted their corpse and nothing was left they believed their comrades had gone to a better place.

GO NOW, the boss was seething with anger as he screamed out the order the thought that he had been outsmarted by animals made his blood boil with anger, but seeing that his teammates were unwilling to follow him he calmed down and explain, if this continues they would set off almost all the traps with very little losses and the difficulty of killing them all will scale to an incredible level, but if we attack now they won't be able to think about the traps.

As he finished speaking some of his teammates wanted to oppose but seeing the bloodshot eyes of their raging boss they decided to just follow his orders while praying that they survived.

Release it now the boss said and a somewhat big ball was thrown at the center of where the beast where but as it was still in the air a tiger jumped out and swallowed it whole before landing and rushing towards them yes them how could they have been spotted it was at this moment that he concluded that the beast had an intelligent one among who was leading this counter.

He was played with by a beast he gave the order to kill it but it was to late as the Fire Tiger jumped up the grenade that he swallowed filled with ricin that had been enhanced with magic exploded and the explosion was enough to rip its stomach apart and in an instant the ricin pervaded the air it was capable of killing even C+ rank adventurers if they inhaled to much, knowing the danger of it I took off and gave the order to everyone to save themselves I carried the lanky assistant by my side on my shoulders as I dashed into deeper into the forest not thinking about the dangers that could be lurking there.

After I confirmed that it was poison they threw and gave the Fire Tiger the order we had already started turning back so it wasn't such a herculean task to escape the renge of the poison but seeing how quickly the poison was spreading I began to shout out orders and coordinate the people to quicken the pace.

The Plated Eagles took to the skies giving the beasts on the ground more room for movement, seeing them it made me remember the times I had dreamed of becoming a soilder but as I saw the cruelty of the world I threw away that dream if I died while protecting the country how would my children be treated the treatment I got after my parents death was nothing to write home about, those were memories I wished I could forget but unfortunately I couldn't.

I remembered all the times I cried wishing for a better life, it was no wonder I had started to see the beasts I was leading as just beasts they had accepted me and even called me their Saviour, they had made me king and trusted me to lead them even when I had no strength, they were more like people to me than beasts.

If only this was the real world, although I had nothing to go back to there my sister was here and had been kidnapped I couldn't even protect her, just when I thought i could be happy again life took it away from me I had always been to weak to protect what I love even after the sacrifice I did it was just so I could be separated from her again in a more heart wrenching way, bit I had slowly began to accept reality.

With Wolfy, Storm, Tessa and all the other beasts by my side I had begun to realise that you couldn't get the joy of life until you began to live for others, I felt at peace after dealing with the thoughts that had been bothering me, before I could feel my instincts raging threatening to burst out and control me at any given time, but now I felt nothing but peace and calmness.

I opened my eyes to the world around me and I could see things in a new way a calm way was this what enlightenment felt like, It was a blissful and satisfying feeling.
