Deception

Gambit was laying on his stomach with his head over both of his arms, he was looking in the direction of Goong with a lazy looking smile upon his lips. "Why did your parents name you that?"

Goong frowned looking at the raptor who was more or less teasing him. "Must you be so rude?"

Gambit narrowed his eyes as he smiled at the brute who was gray in color with dark red splotches randomly over his body. "I'm not rude all the time."

Goong looked at Gambit as he replied, "You are very rude! You don't know anything about me or my parents. I suggest you change your attitude some before saying such hurtful things."

Gambit sort of snickered, "Right, right!"

Belle looked at Goong as she said smiling, "Forgive him, he is a little upset that he can't do anything right now."

Gambit glared at Belle, "Traitor."

Ahnyx chuckled as he placed the herbs upon Goong's wounded ankle, "He is a good person, though his words may come off as rude?"

Gambit made a loud 'Hmph!', as he turned his head away from them. He closed his eyes as he tried to completely zone them out.

Belle smiled as she looked at him, she then blinked taking notice of a familiar face from the corner of her eyes and she froze up slightly. That black raptor was standing there, watching them from a little bit away.

Belle looked at Ahnyx as she tried her best to not look at that raptor, she remembered that raptor only cause she took her away from everyone else.

Belle smiled as she looked at Goong who smiled, he was glad that he got his injury looked at.

Ahnyx looked at Goong as he said, "If you need anything don't be afraid to ask."

Goong nodded toward him with a look of gratitude. "Thank you."

Ahnyx smiled coolly, he was very happy that he could help others who were hurt. This was why he loved herbalism so much for it brought others together. He blinked as he looked up, and he caught sight of Wraith who was standing away from them. She looked so uncomfortable from the looks of it for she was hugging herself as she stared at him.

Ahnyx tilted his head before walking toward her, "Wraith correct?"

Wraith blinked and she quickly turned to leave but stopped as she felt a hand on her shoulder. "..!"

Ahnyx looked at her, his right hand rested on her shoulder gently. "Please don't run away, I wish to apologize to you for the other day."

Belle watched Ahnyx in surprise, he really didn't show fear to her.

Wraith looked down as she replied, "Stop being so damn nice to me."

Ahnyx looked at her with sympathy, "Would you rather me be mean to you?"

Wraith went silent when she heard his response, "..."

Ahnyx calmly removed his hand from her as he put the same hand up to his chest. "I understand. I'm sorry for holding you up."

Wraith looked at him with a confused expression, she stared at him silently before speaking. "Why aren't you scared of me?"

Ahnyx blinked a little surprised by her words, he then calmly smiled. "I think there is somethings more scarier than that of carnivores or the blind."

Wraith looked at him as she waited for him to finish.

"Death or being alone is something that scares me more than anything else.", finished Ahnyx as he closed his eyes.

Wraith looked down before walking away, her head was down as she walked.

Ahnyx watched her go before slowly looking to his side were Belle was.

"She seems so lost.", spoke Belle with saddened eyes.

Ahnyx looked back up as he watched Wraith leave from his view. "Indeed."

Belle looked up at him curiously, "Does she appear bad to you?"

Ahnyx looked at her as he replied, "I don't believe so. I like to believe that she has yet to find her way."

Belle looked down as she said, "She took me away from everyone in my clan. Though she was mean to me I couldn't bring myself to you know hate her?"

Ahnyx smiled at Belle as he said, "You have a pure heart, hearts like yours can heal many wounds that can't be seen by the naked of eyes."

Belle blinked as she looked at him funny, "Wait, my heart can do that?"

Ahnyx chuckled, "Yes. One large rex in particular?"

Belle blushed a bit at his words, "..!"

Ahnyx looked at her as he smiled, "I can see it quite clearly, no need to be embarrassed about it?"

Belle looked down as she fidgeted with her fingers, her eyes were full of all kinds of emotions as she softly said. "He uh has saved me and has been there for me, and I can't help but feel like I do toward him?"

Ahnyx crosses his arms calmly as he looked upward, "Have you told him how you feel?"

Belle looked at him fast, with wide eyes. "No! But I think he knows without me having to tell him!"

Ahnyx chuckled as he looked at her, "I see?"

Belle unconsciously began to mess with her white feathers on the side of her neck, as she blushes more than normal.

Ahnyx looked at her kindly before saying, "Even so, I still think you need to tell him? He needs to hear it purely from you and only you."

Belle looked at him flustered before softly saying, "I don't know how? I don't even know what he likes?"

Ahnyx smiled at her as he said, "Words can be better than any object. Just tell him, and let him know how much you care."

Belle looked down with flushed cheeks as she softly nodded at him.

Ahnyx looked at her with confidence, he knew that she could do it. Even so, he has his own feelings as well for someone. Here he was telling her what to do, when really he couldn't do it himself.

Cripple was someone who he liked, and he honestly didn't know what to do for her besides protecting the young rex that she has adopted as her own. She loved the rex, just like how he loves her smile and laughter.

Ahnyx again was thinking about her, and he took a deep breath as he closed his eyes. "Why don't we get ready for tomorrow?"

Belle nodded as she softly smiled at him, "Okay!"

Ahnyx looked at her with a cool smile before walking back to Goong who was still scolding Gambit about his attitude as well as manners.

The community was growing more and more with each hour, for more individuals were joining. The field that they had cleared out was properly clear of any trees or stumps. It was now late in the evening, and many of those who had been working were now resting for the next morning.

Bloodmaw was resting with those of his clan in the area that they had chosen, but he blinked seeing Belle walk over with new faces. "You brought some friends?"

Belle nodded with a smile for Ahnyx was behind her along with a carnotaurus, a teen rex, and a cryolophosaurus. "I figured on bringing them over! They are very nice!"

Bloodmaw smirked as he nodded toward them. "Hello there, you are welcome to rest here with us."

Ahnyx smiled coolly, "Thank you sir. I am Ahnyx, and this here is Ms. Cripple, Mr. Gullet, and Mr. Scalpmuzzle."

Cripple looked at him as she said, "Just Cripple is fine? We don't even have Ms or Mr in the beginnings of our names!"

Ahnyx flinched and looked away shyly, "M-My apologies!"

Scarface smiled at him, "Hey it's cool!"

Ruby smiled softly toward them as she lays beside Scarface, "Of course! Make yourself comfortable!"

Cripple smiled as she laid down and looked at Gullet who nestled down beside her.

Scalpmuzzle laughed as he sat down beside Ahnyx who placed himself beside Cripple.

Bloodmaw looked at them with kindness before looking at Belle who was telling Devastate about what all happened today.

Harmony looked at Gullet with a smile and made a sound which made the teen perk up and respond. Lockjaw looked at him curiously though he smiled for he understood what the teen was saying. Eden and Enyo were both asleep in between both of their parents.

Ebony was already asleep much like Swiftscale who laid at her side.

Grim was awake, as he looked around them with strong eyes. It was quite obvious that he was keeping watch.

Nina was asleep beside Adder who seemed to be in thought, of course his mother told him that she would return shortly for she was going out to find some of her acquaintances that would love it here within the community.

As everyone settled in with one another, they began talking to each other and sharing their experiences. In a short amount of time, they became good friends of one another. As Bloodmaw and the clan talked with their new friends, something was brewing in the soon to be dark night.

Gambit opened his eyes after sometime for he dozed off thanks to that narcotic berry that he was given. He looked up slowly after hearing voices, and carefully he shifted his head to see one lone figure leaving from what appears to be the herb stash.

The raptor frowned as he moved to stand up, the pain in his back was strong but he ignored it as he walked toward the figure. Gambit took notice that the figure was looking at the herbs in their hands rather strongly.

"What are you doing?", asked Gambit.

He watched as the figure jumped and turned around, it was a dilophosaurus who actually looked good looking. Gambit shook that thought out of his head as he watched them look at him.

"I'm trying to find a certain herb.", she replied looking at him with sharp eyes.

Malice didn't know who he was but she smiled softly at him, "Can you help me find it?"

Gambit tilted his head as he stood tall, he was trying to make it seem like he was not hurt. "Depends? What hurts?"

Malice lowered herself to him as she softly purred, "I can't seem to sleep and I am looking for something to help with that?"

Gambit sort of smiled in return, "Oh in that case?"

Malice watched as he walked toward the herbs, and she followed him while holding the herbs that she had. She looked at him curiously though she smiled in a rather ominous way. "Oh well aren't you a knight in shining armor?"

Gambit looked at her in a funny way though he smiled back, he was unaware of her intentions. "I know quite a good bit about herbs. Hm, there is one herb that can help with sleep but it needs to be properly prepared or else it can be poisonous to the one who consumes it?"

Malice slowly moved herself closer to him as she purred, "I can prepare it just fine, I just don't know what it looks like. It is so dark I can't completely tell?"

Gambit looked at the herbs that she had and he smiled as he picked out the herbs that she needed. "Hey, it is okay? I tend to go through the same thing at times? Here, this is the one you need miss?"

"Thank you, oh and please call me Rose.", replied Malice as she smiled softly at him. The name Rose was just a cover up that she thought of, that was also the name she uses to mislead males who didn't know her.

Gambit smiled at her, "I'm Gambit."

Malice looked at the herbs in her hands before looking at Gambit. "I need to go but thank you for helping me." She softly pressed her nose to his cheek before walking off with a deadly glint in her eyes.

Gambit blushed softly at the action and he spoke up, "Wait!"

Malice looked back at him as she saw that he reached his hand out to her. "Mhm?"

Gambit lowered his hand as he said, "Can we meet up again?"

Malice smiled at him from over her shoulder, the stupid raptor was obviously attracted to her much like all males that she used. "Sure? I would love to."

Gambit smiled as he watched her walk off, his heart beating fast looking forward to the next meeting.
