Scream Of Desperation And Resentment

Leaena and Rozze race against time, headed towards where the Dwarf Cat-eared Elf might be within the Forest Valley Dungeon.

They run past and ignore most of the monsters they encounter as they do their best to defeat those monsters that keep chasing them and ignore the unusual rampage of all the monsters.

But even after giving their best to find Felin, Mifumi, and Vier, Leaena and Rozze never found them within the vastness of the Forest Valley Dungeon.

It was only after Vier was rescued by her Master, Arenea-sensei, along with the members of the Neo Heroes and the unconscious Felin and Mifumi, that Leaena and Rozze were informed that the members of the Dwarf Cat-eared Elf has been brought back to the Green Dale town's Adventurers Guild Infirmary for immediate treatment.

Leaena and Rozze rushed back to the Green Dale town, hoping that their family and friends were safe. But what they find as they enter the room of the Guild Infirmary is the dreadful state of the ones they love.

Felin doesn't have many injuries in her body. Yet no matter what Misaki and the Healers' did, Felin wouldn't wake up and remain asleep.

Mifumi is alive. Yet the bleeding wounds all over her body that stained her clothes and robe in deep red show how much suffering she has put in.

Then there is Vier, who's barely clinging to her life as her pet slime, Puro-III, did its best to keep Vier's heart beating even after draining its Mana to the last drop.

Bleeding wounds cover her body with her left eyes cut in half as her blood keeps dripping from her mouth and her severe right arm.

Yet even after all of those grave injuries, even with all the pain and suffering, Vier is still alive.

Rozze falls to her knees after seeing what has become of her friends, her family.

She vows to hunt the enemies that would steal her family.

She did her best to find the one responsible for this incident.

She fought, killed, and captured the ones who were planning to hurt her family.

Yet after everything she did, the family that she swears to protect is lying down in front of her and breathing what might be the last of their breath.

If only she was more skillful.

If only she could find those enemies much earlier.

Then she could stop this incident before it could happen. And she wouldn't witness her family dying in front of her.

"...AAAHHHHH!!!..."

It was a scream of desperation and resentment.

Desperate for the wish that her newfound family won't be stolen from her again.

Resentment for herself at how weak she is for she couldn't protect what's important to her.

Rozze is about to break down, at both heart and mind. As her scream of desperation and resentment caught the attention of everyone inside the Guild Infirmary, Misaki looked at her assistant, Leaena, with one intention.

...Take Rozze-chan out of this room before she loses her mind and heart...

Understanding what Misaki meant, Leaena leaves her beloved child in the hands of the person who has once saved their lives as she drags Rozze out of the Guild Infirmary.

Seeing the poor orphan girl screaming close to madness, the person who is standing beside Vier and has secretly worked for the incident of the Rank 6 Black Weretiger Monster to happen secretly enjoys the last event of suffering that would put an end to her entrainment.

...Well, there is still an epilogue to this entertainment. And I would enjoy that to the very end...

That is Arenea's thought as she did her best to conceal her smile from Misaki and everyone else inside the Guild Infirmary while listening to Rozze's scream.

"...AAAHHHHH!!!..."

Rozze keeps on screaming even after being forcefully dragged outside the Guild Infirmary by her mentor.

"Get yourself together, Rozze-chan!"

"...AAAHHHHH!!!..."

"They will not die. Misaki will do her best to heal them."

"...AAAHHHHH!!!..."

"You trusted Felin-chan, Mifumi-chan, and Vier-chan, right? You trusted that they could protect themselves from any monsters."

"...AAAHHHHH!!!..."

"That's why you give up on being an Adventurer and become a Spectre! So you can protect them from the kind of monster who once stole your family."

Leaena did her best to help Rozze calm down and prevent the girl from losing her mind and heart to the dreadful scene they had witnessed.

She's worried about her child and wants to get back to Felin's side. But the wellbeing of her student is as important as her child.

After all, not only Felin but Leaena herself consider Rozze, along with Vier and Mifumi, as part of her family.

"Leaena Onee-san..."

Hearing what Leaena has said made Rozze calm down to some degree and stop screaming from madness.

"Your friends... No... Your family is strong like you are. They won't die just from that kind of injury. Even Vier is still alive with how dreadful she looks. So believe in them. Believe that they would fight with their lives to see us once again."

"...Waaahhhh!!!..."

Rozze's cry echoes within the Guild Infirmary as she believes in the strength of her family, as Leaena wishes for the wellbeing of Felin, Mifumi, and Vier, as Misaki does her best to heal the members of the Dwarf Cat-eared Elf, and as Puro-III keeps Vier's heart alive and beating.

This chapter marks the end of the main story.

Of course, it was a joke. There's still the conclusion of everything that has happened in the main story.

But for now, while the members of the Dwarf Cat-eared Elf are recovering from their injuries, let's focus on some side stories about what happened to the other groups of Adventurers Party taking the Adventurers Academy Admission Exam.

Their stories are as important as the story of the Dwarf Cat-eared Elf.

After all, they will become new supporting characters for the next volumes of the ReWorld: Days of Dungeons from Earth to Moon.
