Shrine Maiden

Satoru was intentionally mischievous, aiming to make Mirai feel shy and, at the same time, reinforce his dominance over her. If she believed that this kind of control was natural, then he could consider it a small success.

But to be honest, even he's in a dangerous situation, and this girl with such plump and full features could easily turn yandere due to minor details. However, deep down, Satoru still hoped to help her improve her situation and truly become a free, happy, and healthy person.

Even if she was infatuated with him, no matter how deep her s-level preferences were, if Mirai had a close friend whom she could confide in, someone she could occasionally go shopping and have fun with in school, her life wouldn't constantly revolve around him.

Although it was a bit painful and lonely to travel far away for education and feel excluded by the big city, with the support and encouragement of the one who cares her, would she not have turned out this way?

Just like in this moment, sitting obediently in his lap, letting him touch her like an adorable cat, occasionally purring softly. Satoru hoped she would remain consistently calm and gentle.

Having received compulsory education, his values remained relatively upright. It was just the dire circumstances and a small sense of revenge that made him continue on the path of transforming Mirai's 's' into 'm'.

To be honest, when Satoru played gal games or adult-oriented games, he really enjoyed the yandere characters. It was quite entertaining to transform these yandere characters into the complete opposite, like obedient and cute pets.

"Will Mirai participate in this festival if you're at home?" Satoru asked while watching the video on TV, showing genuine interest.

"Yes, did Yagami-san see the masked shrine maiden performing in the parade? That used to be my job." Mirai replied, pointing at the character on the screen.

"It's beautiful, right? This costume..." She placed her palm over his hand resting on her abdomen, gently rubbing away the subtle rejection hidden in her words.

Since coming to Tokyo, she had lost many things, but fortunately, she now briefly possessed him.

"Indeed, there are many accessories, and the design is quite exquisite. This is not just a simple shrine maiden outfit, right?" Satoru observed, nodding.

It could be considered a "plus" version, with various accessories and decorations added to the shrine maiden costume, making it shine brightly.

"Do you have any photos of you wearing it? I'm curious to see how you look in it." 

Satoru asked an additional question. He decided to steer the conversation towards her family. While he had a rough idea of her school situation, he still didn't know much about her family background.

"I didn't bring any..." Mirai lowered her brows and eyes, sounding a bit dejected. "I don't have them with any friends either, only physical photos are kept at home. My father records videos of my performances every year as a memento of my growth."

"Can't you get them?" Satoru didn't expect to bring up her father so easily.

"Well... since I came to Tokyo, I've had very little contact with my father..." she hesitated.

"Let's continue watching!" Mirai adjusted her somber mood and smiled. She didn't want to dampen his enthusiasm. If he liked it, she could buy a shrine maiden outfit for herself. They were all pretty similar anyway.

Otaru was indeed a charming and exquisite city, with beautiful snowy landscapes and breathtaking views of the sea.

Satoru tried to guide the conversation several times, hoping to steer it towards her family, but it was a bit disappointing that he couldn't bring up the topic.

"Why did you come to Tokyo for school?" he asked, sounding a bit forced.

"Just wanted to come... Tokyo is a big city, very bustling!" she replied casually, but without going into detail.

Satoru realized he was too eager. Although he could now have Mirai listen to him and blush in his embrace, it didn't mean her defenses were truly lowered.

"If Yagami-san likes it, you can come and visit. I'll treat you. It's beautiful when the snow melts and spring arrives in March. The scenery is amazing!" Mirai looked at him with sparkling eyes, full of anticipation.

The Japanese schools' Spring Break was at the end of March, and then school would resume from early April to the end of July.

Satoru felt a bit tempted, but he was also worried. If he were to rashly go there and she suddenly turned yandere and attacked him, it would be a helpless situation even for Sakumu-nee.

"Let's see... I can't be sure if I'll have time then." he hesitated and shook his head.

Mirai wasn't disappointed. She could tell he was still interested, although she didn't know that his interest was actually to get to know her better.
