My class was full of c and d grade talents. So all the woman raised their hands.
Teacher[ ok then i guess that leaves only the boys. Since this is class 6 we will be the last class to go out and pick a gu]
At that comment all the classmates groaned in displeasure. Gu are first come first served so they may not get the gu they wanted, and since it'll be our first gu it will be our vital gu.
Well no worries on my part as the gu i plan on having be my vital gu is undervalued. So the odds are high that I'll still get the one i want even if i went last.
After an hour later it was finally our classes turn to pick out a gu. We were lead to the center of the academy where a large vault door was open with two rank 2 gu masters kept guard. Our teacher talked with the guards and we were slowly allowed to enter and pick a gu.
After waiting for a while it was finally my turn. I entered the gu vault and was surrounded by all types of pots, cages, and plants. In the center of the room was a small book, i went up to it and began to read through it. This book had the names and abilities of all the gu in this room. Plus where they're located in the room.
Skimming through the book i found the gu i was looking for. After reading it i closed the book and went to the left wall of the vault. Where a large clay pot was set, opening up the lid i saw several of the same gu.
Reaching my hand in i grabbed one to take a closer look at it. It was a tad pole the size of a dime, its skin was see through so one could see its insides. This gu was created by my clan, its called drop of strength gu. Activating this gu will give the user a bit more strength for a minute, it's also a very cheap gu to feed as all it eats is a cup of water a day and since we live in a clan full of water i can basically feed this gu for free.
Drop of strength gu is a strength path gu, but it's not as useful as other gu of the same path, but not in my eyes. I know i can make use of this gu, i asked many about the gu we use in our clan, and this is the gu I've decided to have as my vital gu. Putting it in my aperture i left the gu vault, and once the rest of my classmates picked a gu we returned to our classroom.
Teacher[ now that you've all have received your vital gu it is time for the academy to give you your weekly allowance.]
We were all given a bag of 5 primeval essence stones. These stones are to aid the students feed their new gu and to cultivate, but thanks to drop of strength gu only eating water i don't have to buy food thus meaning i can use all 5 primeval essence stones to cultivate.
Once class was over i went straight to my room to refine drop of strength gu. This is a man made gu thus it already had the will of the gu master that refined it, but thanks to that i was able to refine it with no issues as the will inside assisted me. This is one of the main reasons why their was no reward for the first to refine a gu. As some gu were refined by the clan, like my gu and the girls woman's touch gu.
Once i fully refined drop of strength gu i felt a strong connection with it as if it was a part of me. I'm down to 30% primeval sea essence now should i try out my new gu or should i refine another gu.... After a bit of thinking i grabbed truth shines gu and started refining it, and unlike drop of strength gu truth shines gu was instantly refined.
With this i now had two gu refined, with only 25% primeval sea essence left.I then went to one one my chests in my room and took out a medium sized bow and went to the backyard. I set up a target board about 50 yards away.
I then tried to pull on the bow i had in my hand, i could barely tug it away from its original place. This bow is made with the tendons of a hundred beast king, with the bow made out of a special type of wood. It is the most expensive bow I've ever created and yet i couldn't even pull it. I then activated drop of strength gu and attempted to pull it again and although i could pull it a little bit more it wasn't enough to shoot an arrow.
Drop of strength gu can only give a extra bit of strength to the user for a minute. Thats why its called drop of strength as the amount it gives you is but a drop of water in a bucket, but their is one more good thing about this gu and its that it can be activated 5 more times with the strength stacking
I then quickly activated it four more times and was then able to knock an arrow in the bow. I took aim at the target and released it, the arrow went so fast that it just looked like a blur in my eyes, and bam it hit the target and went straight through traveling a bit more till it finally stopped.
Hmmmm i need to use drop of strength gu a minimum of three times if i want to use this bow, but seeing the damage and speed of the arrow. I can say that its the equivalent of a top tier rank 1 long range gu's attack or a average rank 2 long range gu's attack. I'm able to use a normal bow easily but its speed and strength can not compare to this higher quality bow, in fact i might even break a normal bow with my enhanced strength.
Drop of strength gu costs 5% primeval sea essence for each use, it will cost me half of my primeval essence to reach my peak strength, but so long as my aunt can get me a gu that'll permanently increase my strength. I'll be able to use this bow any time i want.
Going back to my room i moved a tile in a certain area and pulled out a bag and a chest. In the bag i had 25 primeval essence stones, well i now have 30 counting the ones the academy gave me. I tired to make as much money as i could to aid me in my cultivation journey, but something happened that made me spend just about all of my primeval essence stones.
Opening the chest that was closed with a cloth instead of a lid. Inside were silverish leaves, these leaves were the very same leaves of the saplings i brought. The saplings name is mirror willow, it's leaves when fresh are so silver they can be used like mirrors.
From the chest the leaves moved, and a small moth appeared. The moth was incapable of flight as it had holes in its wings. This was the greatest gain i encountered while in the caravan. This is a rank 2 gu named beggar moth. It was mentioned only twice in the story, but its effect is still the same.
Beggar moth gu can store and preserve primeval essence. The higher its rank the higher the quality of primeval essence it can hold. This gu cost me almost everything i had. Since i was always spending time with mortals and learning their ways. They had grown to trust and respect me, one of the mortals encountered this gu in the wild and captured it, and since beggars moth can't fly it was easy. However they were stuck in a dilemma as they were just mortals.
They couldn't try to sell it to a gu master after all the odds of the gu master just killing them to take it were incredibly high. The best thing they had was me a potential future gu master who has money and won't lie to them.
After getting this gu i hired a refiner in the clan to refine it for me, the refiners all have to use an oath gu and swear never to tell about a customers information. Otherwise this gu would still be wild with its own will and i would have to wait a while till i could even attempt to refine it.
With beggars moth gu I'll technically have 150% primeval sea essence while in combat. I just have to refill it when needed, not to mention it will help me break through to rank 2 and 3 with ease. This gu is rare after all any gu that can store and preserve primeval essence is usually kept by higher ups in a clan.
Using this gu i was able to refine it thanks to the primeval essence i had already stored in it. Now the gu is a 100% mine, i have a total of three gu and i only have to feed this one, and i had long since stored enough leaves for it. It's also the reason why i brought mirror willows back. Since their isn't any mirror willows close to Hu clan.
I then put beggar moth gu into my aperture. Now to cultivate
