Immemorial Era

Chapter 1 - The Mysterious Tablet

[If you were sent to a primitive world and could make a single wish, what would you ask for?]

In a huge dark space much like the universe itself, countless points of light of all sizes and colors moved haphazardly, but still followed a certain direction as if they were being guided by an invisible force.

Among these countless lights that seemed to be unaware of what they were doing and where they were, one stood out from the rest simply because it seemed to be standing still and actively looking around.

This light was about the size of a watermelon and had an incredible white-gray color that made it look captivating.

This light was now looking at a message floating in front of it, the message was written on an ancient and noble looking board, it seemed to be made of some sort of white material with golden adornments around it.

The sign had letters with characters that he apparently did not understand, but only by looking at the sign could he understand what was written. The light that previously seemed to be in a trance that simply guided it forward was awakened by this mysterious sign.

Just by looking at the sign he could perfectly understand his current situation and surprisingly didn't feel any kind of controversial feelings or doubts, everything seemed extremely clear and logical to him at that moment.

Perhaps being influenced by the power of the mysterious tablet, he didn't delay much and simply responded to the tablet without much drama.

"What would I want in a primitive world?!" The light recovered some memories of its past life and understood what a primitive world meant, it meant a world where it was beginning, where everything was wild and cruel, where resources were abundant, but they could not take advantage of them. A world where only the best adapted would survive.

"Evolve, I want to be able to evolve and adapt. Yes… As if I could enjoy everything in the world for myself, the ultimate predator, the one who will always be at the top of the food chain." The light pulled from within his knowledge what else could help him in a primitive world.

[Assessing desire…]

[...]

[Wish Approved!]

[Establishing conditions for desire…]

[...]

[Conditions established and organized!]

[As compensation for the powerful desire, you will start from scratch, at the lowest point]

[But it could go further than anyone has ever been able to]

[Choosing random primitive world…]

[...]

The light then saw the characters constantly changing with the new notifications and read them calmly, until finally there was only an Ouroboros symbol running like a video game loading screen.

[World selected!]

[Starting shipping process!]

Light then lost consciousness again and fell asleep. Looking from an outside perspective, the light was swallowed by the mysterious plate and the two suddenly disappeared together. And the place returned to its former peace and monotony.

"Huh?"
