CHAPTER 28

Robi is busy checking his files. Lately the Company has been so active after getting a new project. All the employees had to put in extra effort and time except for one person, David.

His head almost burst, finding endless work. Even though his status in the Company was that of a successor, he was now nothing compared to Mayang and Yustina.

He lay down on the sofa, trying to catch his breath and rest after a long day at work and until this afternoon didn't know when it would be over. He misses Amelia but is reluctant to check the CCTV footage at his house because it's usually challenging to refocus later.

Instead, he texted his wife. Contains a string of romantic and uplifting words for this tough week. After that, he threw the phone back on the table, afraid he would be tempted to play too long with the flat object.
