Revenge of the Fallen (en)

After humanity almost destroyed its own planet, Earth, people decided that it may be better to let her recover and move somewhere else. Scientists had already found new planets where living could be possible so they flew there. They've built first cities as they settled down there and limited living only to the cities so the new planets wouldn't get destroyed as the old one. Rayne lost her family, not knowing why, although she probably deep down suspected that something bad had happened as her grandmother really never told her about their family. One day, her brother found her and together they are trying to find the people because of whom they didn't know each other until now and didn't have family.

Welcome to my favourite bar

Later that day, we were already done eating and shopping. The food was thanks god chosen by me so we didn´t go to luxury restaurant where the food is not going to get someone full when they could use meal meganisms scientist made years ago. So then I was sitting at a passanger seat in Zayd´s hovercar dressed up in my brand new clothes and boots.

It was dark outside. The night took over this part of the planet for tons of days. No day light for some time. Which wasn´t that bad when we all got used to it since our day one in here. And I must say it´s better to party in a night than when it´s a day - that feels quite weird.

So as the city lights were acompying us, we went to the bar. After a while I could finally see its lights. I must say that I was kind of excited to go there but... there was a small problem - all the drinks must be quite expensive in there and Zayd couldn´t pay for me this whole time.

"We´re here," announced Zayd the obvious when he parked a short distance from the building where the upper part was probably in function of a hotel because I could see some balconys. To my surprise there were not many hovercars around. Well, everyone just wanted to get drunk, obviously.

As we got out of the hovercar, Zayd threw the keys at a guy in a uniform who was standing next to the stairs. He caught them like a profesional he was and then I didn´t focus on what he was doing because we were in front of quite big door. There were another guys who let us in, security I guess.

I was looking around trying to not be so obvious because that feeling wasn´t very nice. But everything was so amazing up here, after all. Door made of glass, two shiny metal lifts and next to them were standing small groups of people in pretty fancy clothes. And so on and on.

In a moment, we were getting in the lift with a few of these people. Someone pressed the lowest button and I looked through the one lift wall made of a glass. From here, we could see outside. It was probably for hotel guests so they could watch outdoor environment from their way out or to the higher floors. Beautiful view, I must say.

"Welcome to my favourite bar," said Zayd as we came out of the lift.

So now we were in a room with black walls that was enlightened by a dim light. That shadow was quite comfortable to be in. Once again I looked around as I went after Zayd to the bar where they had exposed so many kinds of alcohol that I couldn´t believe to my own eyes.

I was looking at every single one bottle when Zayd asked me what I wanted to drink. My sight fell on goldly brown liquor in glass bottles: "Whiskey."

Once I was lucky to taste that I must say it´s like heaven to me. But I didn´t remember which one was that so I let Zayd to choose. After all, he was the one thanks to whom I got the chance to try this delicacy - that idiot liked to show off and gave me a bottle for my birthday last year. Otherwise I would drink some I could afford and that others recommended to me.

After a while, I had a glass with an ice and whiskey in my hand. I still stood at the bar because I was looking around observing everything as I was there for the first time. There were some tables with people sitting at them and other people were standing all around the room or at the bar like the two of us.

"Cheers!" said Zayd to which we clicked our glasses.

I smelled the drink and then tried it. Delicious. Of course. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a barmaid with long red hair watching me. So I smiled and winked at her before taking a sip once again. Flirting was real fun.

Before I knew it, I was in more pleasant company than Zayd could ever be. I don´t wanna badmouth my friends but that guy sometimes just says many annoying things. I´m not saying that the girls I was with now were from a different group of people but... this conversation was kind of better. However, not that great either.

"By the way... what do you do for living?" asked kinda swarthy blond girl in a light blue dress after she looked at my outfit once again. Yeah, as I said - not great. But at least I´m in the company of two beautiful girls.

"Corey, don´t," mumbled the other one. Her dark curls flowed nicely around her face and that red dress looked so hot on her. I didn´t give a fuck about what sex is someone but I have to say that females are more attractive for me. Especially when they had darked skin. It was just more hot. Don´t judge me.

Corey rolled her eyes over what Ilaria said and put her hand on my shoulder: "What about a drink?"

"Offer accepted:" I smiled with a nod: "What shall we get?"

Corey´s eyes brightened and her palm went down to my biceps where she grasped me. So then the three of us went to the bar. On our way Corey and Ilaria were arguing about which drink is better or even the best. But I already had my favorite.

We were almost at the bar but unfortunately we had to get through a few groups of people that were in our way so a few times we couldn´t avoid clash with some of them but no one paid attention to that. Until I heard sounds of drawing sword.

My hand instantly moved and catched that sword in move. However, that wasn´t very smart move which I realized as I felt the sword blade cut the skin in my palm. Behind me I could immediately hear some surprised gasps from the girls.

My sight went from the sword - or katana would be better to say - to its owner. I was lucky because I could already be without a part of my arm since I knew how sharp that thing was. And I finally loosened my grip slightly when I realized who was the person in front of me.

Yuki.

He was obviously surprised as much as I was. For a few seconds it looked like he was thinking about something and then he looked at my hand that was still holding the blade of his katana and frowned: "Let go."

I looked there, too, and then enabled the press completely. Yuki drew his katana with my blood on it to himself and I checked my palm from where was flowing not a very small amout of blood. I frowned. Someone will have to clean the floor here properly.

"Looks like you´re still alive," I said as I looked to the bar. There could be some napkins which I could use before going to the restroom. The feeling in my palm started to be quite uncomfortable - I´ve never hurt myself so much like this. Accidentally every time of course.

"Rayne," I heard someone talking to me next to me and I immediately looked at Ilaria who was handing me a white handkerchief with a worried look. I gladly took the napkin and pressed it to the bleeding wound. Then I looked back at Yuki because I noticed before that he wasn´t alone.

Behind his back were standing two guys, both kind of familiar which was impossible. Unless... I met them a few years ago. That runaways. I mean that two boys. How lucky I´m. I tried to not make any unnecessary reaction and paid attention to Zayd who was probably here all this time which wasn´t surprising when he had friends almost everywhere.

"Woah, I was wondering where you were," Zayd said as if he didn´t wittnesed the accident and looked at my company. Then he grinned. I shrugged:

"Yeah..."

From the corner of my eye I could notice that two guys suspiciously looking at me. But I had no intention in talking to them or introducing myself. And the most important thing right now was taking care of my injured hand.

"Excuse me," I said and went away to try to find the way to the restroom.

At that time I didn´t care that I left Corey and Ilaria there with Zayd and that guys. Instead, I was thinking about what was Yuki doing in here. He seemed like he was someone´s bodyguard. But if that was the case he wouldn´t fold the weapon right after he realized it was me.

"Bingo," I smiled as I saw the shiny sign of the ladies' toilets in the next corridor. I went in right away and made my way to the white sink where I put away the bloody handkerchief and washed it after I cleaned my palm.

Unfortunately, I didn´t have any bandage with me so I could only use that cloth handkerchief. And so I used that. In the end I tightened it as much as I could and checked my trousers and boots if there were any traces of the blood. Luckily for me, it was only on the ground. In bar. And in the corridor. Good luck, staff.
