REUNITED WITH MY EX: My Toxic Ex Fiance

"Sebastian what did I ever do to you, to deserve this ill treatment?". I asked him with tears in my eyes. "I hate you so much Bianca." Sebastian said to me with a cold and a harsh tone. I stood there like a drenched cat, letting the tears flow down my cheeks freely. Sebastian fixed his eyes on the magazines on his hands, not showing any sign of sympathy towards me. "Fine. This will be the last time you would be seeing me." I said to him with a shaking voice. "Go faraway, where I would never have to deal with you again." He replied back to me coldly. I nodded my head in tears, barging out of the bedroom. "RECEIVED A LETTER OF PARTNERSHIP FROM SB LTD COMPANY."

George was in my city now. He was staying with his aunt and her family because of Briella's good news to Ben. He also wanted to be around to welcome her whenever she arrives.

Now that he was around, he was spending quality time at his other company in Chicago.

...

I was on my way to my office, after purchasing a box of creamy chocolate doughnuts from the company's kiosk, when I bumped into Ryan.

I wasn't really expecting to see him at that moment.

"We met again miss." He said to me with a smile.

"Ryan. I was on my way to my office." I said to him.

"I can see some tasty snacks in your hand." He teased me.

I laughed at his joke, shaking my head. Ryan requested that we hang around the company and spend some few times together.

"The weather is obviously friendly." He said.

"Yeah. Do you care for a bite?". I asked him, handing over a piece of doughnut to him.

Ryan ate the doughnut quietly, messing up his lips. I helped him out in wiping off the stains. He appreciated my kindness.

"You're so addicted to having me around." I said to him.

"Yeah. Maybe we can be very good friends." He said to me.

"I haven't made friends with a guy I'm older than. It is cringe to some extent." I opened up my sincerity to him.

He was surprised to hear that. He decided to get me into another conversation that will get our discussion flowing.

"As the manager of our company, I know you wouldn't like to hear this question." He said to me.

"Go on Ryan. I don't mind." I said to him.

"Don't you have a boyfriend?, because I have seen any man before." He asked me.

I laughed at his question, flashing back to my past. It's true that I haven't had a serious date in my past but atleast some of my past actually made me happy.

"I don't have any." I said to him.

"You haven't been in love before?". He asked me.

I looked at him, after he asked me the question. I have been in love even without realizing it. I might not have confessed those feelings, but it made me feel happy.

"I might not know the true meaning of what love is, but having experienced it for the first time, gave me butterflies in my belly." I said to him, lost in smile and thoughts.

"I'm sure someone came to your mind. I pray this smile on your face last forever." Ryan said.

I shook my head doubtfully, knowing that those feelings only caused me pains in the past and will always ruin my happiness even in the future. I will rather die with them than to hope anything out of it.

I decided to change the topic, because it was way too personal. I didn't like talking about my personal life to anyone, especially to a random guy at work.

While we were still discussing, I was called out by one of the staffs at the company.

"We'll talk some other time."I said to him leaving.

I left with the staff, entering into the company. I headed upstairs, where a board meeting was being held by George. It have been long I had been in the board's meeting and I wondered what the meeting was about.

"I hope all is good now?". I asked myself with a low tone, opening the entrance door of the conference room.

I walked into the crowded room, heading over to where George was seated. I sat down on an empty chair next to him, still confused. I wasn't informed about any meeting that would be held today, so it came as a shock to me because it was unexpected.

"You're late to the meeting." George whisphered to me.

"I apologize." I whisphered back to him.

Letters were shared round at the table, and I grabbed my hands on one of the letters. I unfolded the letter, taking a glance of it.

"A letter of partnership?".I asked George, with my eyes bulged out in surprise.

He nodded his head at me and informed me that it was the main purpose of the meeting. I viewed the name of the company written boldly on the letter, but I had no clue about which company was that, as it was my first time hearing about it.

"Since my director is here with us now, we can now go ahead with the main reason I called for the board meeting." George said aloud to the crowd.

"I have never heard about this company before. I beg your pardon boss, to explain what this partnership is all about." One of the board members complained.

There was misunderstanding going on inside the conference room. Everyone wanted to be heard, and George was trying to calm them down. I had to retaliate immediately, since I was his assistant.

"Please let's maintain decorum in this room. The banters wouldn't let us hear what the manager has to say."I said to them.

They all turned their eyes on me, finally agreeing to keep quiet. There was silence in the room and I was happy that they listened to my plea. George has been quiet for a while now, just looking at everyone. He finally decided to say something atlas. He cleared his throat before going on with what he had to say.

"Thankfully to my director, everyone has finally decided to maintain decorum in this room." George said to them feeling disappointed.

I exchanged glances with him, signaling him to put his mood in check, since he was the manager of the company and also the CEO. George nodded his head at me, while I smirked, turning away my face from him immediately. I didn't want to spark up the feelings he had for me already, especially not in the presence of this people.

"We are still waiting for you to say something boss." Another member of the board reminded him.

"I haven't forgotten that. By the way, a new company at New York, has decided to partner with us in the future. This is actually a good news, although it came as a shock to everyone." George said to the crowd.

I nodded my head, agreeing with his words. It really came as a shock. I really wanted to know what the company was about and why it decided to be partner with George's company.

"If I may ask, why the Georgian company of all companies in the world?". I asked George, turning my eyes towards him.

"They believe that partnering with us, will birth a big success with them." George revealed.

"I don't agree with this at all." Ma'am Yolanda spoke out.

George was surprised by her utterance. She was one of the people he was expecting to even stand with him during this difficult time. She obviously didn't know anything about the company and she thought it would be best to know atleast the CEO of the company.

"How can we consent to this, when you haven't met with the CEO of that company?". She asked him.

"I met with the chief manager Mr Wilson. He's the closet to the CEO. I'll meet with the CEO, if you still insist." George said to her.

"Forget it, since you've met with the Chief manager." Mrs Yolanda stopped him.

George smiled, shaking his head vigorously. He obviously knew that she would stop him. He was glad that he was able to convince her now and her mind has calmed down.

I still wanted to know the founder of the company but it was obviously not my business, since I was working under George. I would have insisted on meeting with the CEO of the company, if the company was mine.
