Ethan's POV

I pulled the sides of the dark grey jacket I had on around me as I exhaled lightly. My breath turned into a fine mist in the cold air that quickly broke apart soon enough. It was colder up here, far more than I would have liked, but that was not much of a problem for me. I had bigger things to worry about at the moment.

My mind had been in a constant state of turmoil for the past few days. So much had happened in such a short time that I was already more than a little concerned. First with the death of Damian's child, and now Conrad of all people somehow got an heir? The whole thing just did not add up. There was still the damage that the child's death had done to Hayley's emotional health and since she was the mate of my Alpha, that made it my responsibility too.
