I quickly caught her, and surrounded her with mana.

At this point my sight grew blurry.

I tried to think of why priests often said cringe things.

'A show?! They want a show!'

"Let the light shine upon the innocent! Let me borrow your powers, oh holy being!" I yelled.

"Heal!" Then a yellow light appeared, and Christine stopped shaking.

'That worked?'

I gently placed Christine down. "Brendon look after Christine for a little while." I said as nicely as I could.

Brendon quickly went to Christine.

I silently looked at the man who hit Christine.

"What's your name?" I asked still mildly bleeding from the cuts from before.

"Wh-what?" Sophia looked confused, and went in front of Lukas. "We can stop! He understands what he did wrong!"

I took out my dagger, and swung.

"Oh, I guess you learned your lesson. There is no reason to kill a bug." Then I walked away.

"What's your name?" Sophia asked.

I picked up Christine.

"Let's meet again." I said.

Then we walked into a forest .

After walking for ten minutes, I put her on a sleeping bag.

I set up a big tent, and adjusted Christine's sleeping bag with mana.

'Like a water bed.'

"Will she be okay?" Brendon asked.

"She'll definitely survive. But I don't know when she'll wake up."

"Anyway, what was that?" Brendon asked. "I got mad." 

"No, before that."

Then it was silent. I looked at Brendon for a couple seconds.

"I'll decide if I tell you tomorrow." I said.

He nodded and stared at Christine.

I placed down another sleeping bag.

"You stay here with Christine in case she wakes up."

"Why?" He asked.

"I need to keep watch." I said as I exited the tent.

"Good night." Brendon nodded.

I sat down on the ground and looked up.

'Oh, let's hope no one is at sea.'

I saw two brightly shining moons.

I covered myself in bandages while asking.

"Hey, did you activate the calmness skill Aileen?" I asked.

I looked at the message.

"It seems like you did." I said calmly.

I smirked. "Made ya admit it."

I felt mild vibrations. "Is that you?" I asked.

"If you don't stop I'm gonna fire you." I said plainly.

It was kinda funny how fast she changed moods. 'I am basically her boss.'

"Do you get paid?" I asked. 

["How would I get paid?"] 

I got confused. "What do you mean how? Wait do you need to eat?"

["It's not necessary. But I have taste buds."] 

"That's interesting. Can I send things to you?"

["Yes you can, but it costs at least 100 coins per transfer."]

Then I got an idea. "What if each week or month you get paid in food?" 

["Okay, it's gonna be interesting tasting food for the first time."]

I suddenly felt pity. "Okay then it's decided."

I decided to passively surround the area with my mana.

"The fact that it's called "Stationary combat mana" is stupid." 

["Did you find it in the library?"]

I nodded and closed my eyes.

Meanwhile somewhere in Coalfell.

"Did you find a doctor?" A woman asked. 

A man answered. "Yes but they all refused to help, saying it's too dangerous dealing with curses." 

"If only I had more money, I could've ordered a priest." The man clenched his fist.

The woman went to the bed where a teenager was.

"I'm sorry for giving you a weak body."

He was breathing heavily, and keeping his eyes shut.

Then blue particles were emitted by the boy.

"It's happening again open the doors, and windows!"

The next morning….

I was quite surprised by Christine's recovery.

We were casually walking when there was a loud sound.

"What is that?" I looked in that direction.

There was smoke. "If it's a fire, then Christine stay out of it okay?" I warned.

She nodded, then Brendon and I went ahead.

When we arrived there was a black scaled dragon trying to destroy a carriage.

'What the...' The dragon momentarily stopped, and looked at me. 

It felt like weights were put on my shoulders. 

*Bam!* I fell to my knees. "Cough! W-" I struggled to look up.
