Cui Len'an, under the guidance and advice of the doctor, wasn't allowed to do any heavy movement that could cause a relapse in his condition. The injuries he had sustained were almost healed to perfection, leaving behind a large string of surgical scars.

His fractured bones were placed into their original stages, leaving behind no sign of previous damage done, almost as if he was an immortal mythical creature. For the ten days, he was in the hospital, the doctor informed him that he would've become a vegetable if he hadn't healed.

He was praised continuously by the doctor for his supernatural healing.

Cui Len'an nodded his head repeatedly, not taking any words into the heart and believing it may not be as simple as the doctor see it.

My current body conditions may look healthy and well-built but I am constantly suffering from headaches and a boiling hot stomach, it may also be a side effect of his current innate state.

In his stomach, he felt a coiling burning ache, almost as if the acid in his digestive system was being cooked. He didn't show any sign of exterior symptoms or changes, his body and appearance being completely fine.

His face was still in a sorry state, with a plaster on his left eye. He tried to open the plaster once but blood flowed continuously and an agonizing pain shot to his head after he took it out, so he decided to put it back on.

"Your left eye will heal in a couple of days," Doctor Gao assured him with comfort, with a strange expression. Cui Len'an raised his eyebrows, in an amusing way, detecting his lies.

'Lies, he got no idea what he's saying.'

My head is telling me you are lying. Apparently, it says you have no idea what condition I have with my eyes. It looks like it wouldn't recover anytime soon.

Cui Len'an head ached slightly, completely unused to the talks his mind was doing.

This lie detector in my head has been helping tremendously, spotting every lie Doctor Gao spouted. This ability come in handy when I am in trouble or being schemed against. Aside from that, how does Doctor Gao even qualify as a doctor...

Cui Len'an thought carefully with an amusing expression,

"If your injuries relapse, you can come back at any time," Doctor Gao smiled 'sincerely' at him, unaware Cui Len'an was reading his mind. Cui Len'an immediately came up with a mischievous scheme and laughed casually.

"Doctor Gao, I respect you very much," He said with a gentle smile, seeing Doctor Gao's eyes lit up, and continued, "I may have to come to you to ask you what disease my left eye has. Do you have anyway I could contact you with?"

Doctor Gao's face shook unnoticeably, he gave an awkward laugh and stuttered awkwardly, "It may take a while for me to ascertain what it is. You could uh...ask the nurses around here for my contact info. I'm available whenever you're available," He recovered graciously.

He sure persists to say that he doesn't have any idea of my illness. He doesn't seem to have any confidence in himself, at all.

Cui Len'an shook his head inwardly,

"Thank you, Doctor Gao. I believe I can leave now," He stood up and gestured gratefully. Doctor Gao nodded his head in response and quickly prescribed him some antibiotics and painkillers.

Cui Len'an received them and left the hospital, with a laid-back expression and smirk.

He suddenly realized something and quickly placed his hands around his clothes, rubbing them to find something. He was looking for his phone, which he suddenly remembered he had bought with him before he had an accident.

He uses two phones, one he had bought secretly and one was a forceful gift from his father. He didn't want to accept the gift, knowing there was a hidden GPS in it, a way for his father to track him. He knew all the schemes of his father but pretended not to acknowledge them. Instead, he schemed against him as well.

It must've been crushed by the intensity of the accident…

He deliberated to call someone to pick him up but he didn't have any phone with him. He could've asked someone kindly for their phone but the original predecessor refused resolutely in his head, ultimately crushing Wei Yi's needs and suppressing him.

His ego is more important than his own convenience, it appears.

Cui Len'an thought with a bit of displeasure.

I guess I may have to depend on his memories to guide myself to my own home.

Having two minds coexisting was extremely complicated and often made Cui Len'an do things he wouldn't want to do.

I have to find a way to eliminate all ties to the original owner and take control of this body completely as quickly as I could. If I was in a perilous situation, I wouldn't trust him to make any decision for me.

A man whose ego is more valued than his own safety can't be trusted.

Cui Len'an lowered his eyes and a light silver glow wavered in those pupils.

He turned to Street 7 and walked along the pedestrian pavements, deep in his thoughts.

As he casually strolled his way home, his intuition incorporeally informed him he was being followed.

He thought cautiously,

'A sixth sense?!?'

He immediately diverted his eyes to the source of pressure his intuition was affected by. All he could see was a car parked under a tree, with no driver or passenger.

The car was a silver pickup truck, appearing extremely in place and nothing noteworthy with the background.

Instead of approaching it, Cui Len'an lifted both of his legs and dashed forward in full speed, even taking himself by surprise.

The cautiousness and fear of the unknown exuded by him were traits of Wei Yi, the owner of the body.

Better safe than sorry!

He ran as quick as he could, to avoid the eyes of others. He felt a pair of eyes reared its head above him, he felt seen through and defenseless.

'This!'

The eyes of the other pedestrians were completely unmoved by his running, they were continuing with their lives and not giving any care to the panicked Cui Len'an.

'I am being tracked down!'

I have to find Old Lao and ask him for his help! I have to change the route and head to the bar!

He then proceeded to divert his direction to Wang Ling's bar and ran the other way.

After running for seven minutes, he stopped by the bar. The place appeared aged and had its yellow lantern lit up, appearing dimmed and deranged from the other buildings.

He pushed in the door and stepped inside,

The bar had very few customers, most of them had cigarettes between their fingers and engaged in small talks.

He turned his head toward a man in a formal bartending suit, he was shaking drinks. Behind him were stacks of alcoholic beverages and emptied bottles, appearing aesthetic for a bar.

The man, making the drinks, had somewhat faint facial hair and a head of baldness. He was extremely handy and experienced with his drinks, conversing with the person in front of him with a friendly smile. He was dressed in a clean white shirt and a black waistcoat.

"Wang Ling…"

Cui Len'an breathed heavily as he blurted the name of the bartender. The bartender immediately turned his head toward him after hearing his name being muttered, he nodded his head in acknowledgment and assurance.

Simultaneously, the mysterious and unseen eyes above him disappeared all of a sudden. The weight and pressure on Cui Len'an also subsided, making him able to breathe with ease.

"Welcome to West Street Bar, why don't you come over and have a drink?" Wang Ling greeted him with a comforting smile, like greeting a new customer.

The ability to detect lies…
