WHO ARE YOU?

Three days later, a naked youth was walking on the edges of the crushed mountain lazily while holding a double edged bamboo spear in one hand and in another hand a bamboo basket made by himself in the bloodsoul realm by planting bamboo plant in it. The basket contained almost a dozen of genesis fruits of which he took a bite within intervals. The youth was no other than DELVIN and was currently searching for some intact spirit herbs mentioned in various alchemy recipes and the 'Bloodsoul Body Tempering Art'.

After he formed a small lake inside the bloodsoul realm with the help of a bamboo and leaf bucket, there was enough space for the genesis plant to grow freely. The result was in a day it produced a genesis fruit and was still producing, so from now he would not lack the need for genesis fruits. This gave him an idea for transforming the vacant space of land of the realm into an agriculture field. Also in the meantime he completely finished reading 'Compendium of beasts- Part 1' and half of the 'Compedium of herbs- Part-1'.

He had travelled for almost a mile now, but still hadn't found anything because of the complete half destruction of the mountain caused by the altar. So he still had some hopes for spirit herbs on the other side of the fallen mountain.

"Puny human, how did you survive this destruction. Wait may be I am seeing a ghost of human, after waking up from a deep sleep." After walking for half a day more he finally reached on the other side of the fallen but somewhat intact mountain, but just when he was going to happily search for spirit herbs or their seeds, a loud and somewhat hoarse voice reached him from the tip of the fallen mountain which was covered by rocks.

This voice completely amazed DELVIN, as he noticed just now that he wasn't the only survivor of the catastrophe caused by the altar. But he didn't rush to save to save that person, because he still didn't knew whether this person was a friend or a foe. With the previous memory of this body, he knew that many people were ready to kill him without a notice, so he decided to observe the character and condition of the person first before helping him.

"It is really a human ghost, or it woudn't have been travelling naked. Shu, Shu away, and never come here back or I will send you to the reincarnation path." The voice roared again and the ground began to tremble, the rubble of the rocks covering the mountain started to fall off and dust covered the whole for a while, but DELVIN didn't move back rather climbed up on the fallen mountain side to hide himself and to get a clear view from top.

"Hahaha, humans are really like dogs, they even run when they become a ghost." After a minute the whole dust settled down giving a clear view of the situation below, a small duck like bird fully covered in dust came out from the gap formed by the fallen mountain on the ground and again a loud and hoarse voice was heard.

The gap between the mountain and ground left was only of some centimeters, only enough space for the small duck like bird to squeze his head out. The dust covered head of the small duck tried to squeeze his body out of the gap for escaping, but it resulted in no avail as the mountain cliff was still jointed perfectly to the half of the intact mountain.

This process dumbfounded DELVIN, as he had clearly heard the voice speaking human language three times for now, so where did this duck came from, left with no choice he jumped down from the cliff and moved towards the duck type beast.

"Hey, who are you and how can you speak human language." DELVIN said after reaching near the pit of the mountain cliff but still maintaining a safe zone distance between himself and the unknown beast. While he was talking, the duck noticed him and was startled to shrink and hid below the mountain.

"Who I am, I am your father and you are my bastard son, that's how you can understand my language." "Hahaha". Soon a voice came out of the gap.

This level of insult completely dumbfounded and angered him at the same time, he had just asked a simple question to the creature and he was being insulted in return without a cause. Engulfed in anger DELVIN started to throw small stones in the gap from where the duck had brought his head out.

"Do you still want to curse, or should I use another method to make you answer."

" Hahaha, I will curse, what can you do a bastard ghost of a human."

"Ouch", "Ouch", "oh stop it, it hurts".

"Okay-okay you are not my bastard son."

"Ouch". "I'll speak." "Now can you stop throwing stones at me."

"Wait, how can you throw stones when you are just a mere soul."

"I haven't died yet. Now answer my question who are you? And how did you survive this disaster."

"Who am I, I am your father…". "Ouch". "I mean, I am the beast king of this mountain, that you humans usually refer to me as. As to how did I survive, that is due to my cultivation and defense being stronger than even what you can imagine in your dreams."

"Ouch". "Why did you hit me now."

"Just checking your defense." After being insulted even after warning the creature, he really got angry and started to throw stones at the creature to vent his anger and it worked very smoothly. While the last stone was thrown by him because he thought the small duck was clearly telling a lie of being the king of the beasts.

"Now answer me, how did you survive this disaster if you are not a ghost." The creature asked this time to also satisfy his suspense.

"Damn you bastard human", "ouch", "if I hadn't been trapped by this mountain, I would have been making a bone soup out of you." The results were as good as DELVIN had thought, the creature got really angry, moreover he understood now that the small duck just survived of thunderstrikes by fluke due to being trapped underground by the mountain.

"Growl". A gurgling sound of a hungry stomach came out from the space where the creature was trapped. Surely the creature hasn't eaten anything after he was trapped below the mountain for more than a month and now after mention of food, he would really feel more hungry.

"Here, eat these fruits, it can help you quench your hunger and also can speed up the regeneration process of your body cells." After hearing the grumbling sound of the creature being hungry, DELVIN dropped his guard completely, as the duck was already injured and already weak enough to die at any point. So he decided to rather help the duck and gather some more information from him.

When DELVIN looked from the gap to identify the duck, he got only disappointment as the gap had only darkness, the only thing that could been seen where the circular yellow glowing eyes of the duck. So he squatted down near the gap and throwed four genesis fruit near the beast.

"Aren't you afraid that I will kill you now that you have walked so near me." The beast replied being confused at his actions.

"You are already on the verge of death and you still think of killing me, moreover I also know that these 4 fruits can't help you recover any strength rather only healing some minor injuries, as it only works on genesis realm and not on 'visceral realm', so I'm still safe. Morever can you even try to kill me with that size of yours, also death still hangs on your neck as there is no more food supply for you till the tornado clears up."

"Haha I appreciate your kindness and courage, in return I will not kill you. Now help me dig a path for my escape."

"What a joke, do you think I am such an idiot to release a beast for my own death. Although you are injured, there is no guarantee if you are a poisonous beast, so just stay there till the tornado clears up."

"You really underestimate me kid, If I want to kill you now, no one can save you, just a release of my noble aura is enough to kill you hundred times. Hey, where are you going, just help me get out of here and I'll give you this red berry that can help you in cultivation." Just as DELVIN thought of searching the area around him for some spirit herbs, a small red size ball flew out from the gap and rolled towards his foot.

"This is a redlush berry". DELVIN received the berry and observed it carefully, the red berry was circular in shape, had the size of his palm and a sweet aromatic smell. As he had read the 'Compendium of Plants', he readily identified its name and also happy, because the redlush berry is one of the main ingredients of the 'Bloodsoul Body Tempering art'.

"As I have already reached 9th level of genesis realm after eating ten genesis fruits, this berry will surely help me to promote my cultivation."

He moved and squatted down on a plain surface of land present nearly and removed the seed of berry first with the help of the bamboo stick and placed it into the bloodsoul realm secretly. The berry growed on land to begin with, so it didn't require any extra material, making it simpler to plant it.

As for the duck it remained silent and observing, knowing that the human took his bait.
