Saffron City

Saffron City was the best place for Kimi to travel to and to set up in for her present self and the goals she had.

It was home to the psychic gym leader that was Sabrina, there was a training dojo there and there were many other locations that were noteworthy.

As technology would be progressing, there would be far more advances made and places like Sylph Company would be close to the centre of that progression.

The technology that Kimi possessed were the very basics of laptops available to the public that had internet access so they did run quite slow compared to what was available in the future while the other communication devices had very few additional features.

The advances of different types of technology were all over the place and not everything was available to the public yet.

There would be some places that had made advances in cloning, storing items in a digital form or using spacial technology to send items or Pokémon between different regions but in some households, there were some families that needed to share an old and poor grade computer between them.

If Kimi did not make some Pokédollars of her own and put some of it towards the things she had then even she and her father would struggle to buy a Pokédex, laptop or a communicator between themselves.

Some of the technology she did have that were more advanced were the result of working with Old P who could supply her with things that far less people had access to yet.

It was the same in her previous life and it was one of the reasons why it was so difficult for her when she first started out.

Kimi had the feeling of being displaced and had to learn many new things so that required time and funds, those funds were put towards her passing her second attempt at gaining her officer qualification certificate.

Then came more difficulties as she tried to raise Growlithe up from the rebellious and difficult attitude she had so it often resulted in Growlithe not listening to her and them both returning to the Pokémon centre.

The healing cost more of her funds and then came the time when she finally became a trainee at her local police building in Viridian City.

From there, it was even more difficult to get opportunities to earn funds for herself and she was quickly faced with different losses or dangers.

When she had finally gained more experiences, she had already lost her partner that was Growlithe and others her accompanied her while the world had already begun to progress.

Kimi did not have the time or funds to put to use what she knew about and by the time she did, it was already too late for a lot of it.

A lot of what she had to offer and tried to exchange was less needed or wanted by others while most of the items she knew would be useful in the future had already been announced for their uses and used by others.

Being stuck to Viridian City for too long and moving to other branches around Kanto had left her with little growth compared to other trainers.

It did not help that a lot of areas that were the routes between cities or the parks were limited to the levels of Pokémon or the quantity of them that could be found were very controlled so when she did have tasks to do, it was only the less difficult jobs that would not gain as much growth for the Pokémon she possessed.

An example would be that the various routes varied in levels between one and thirty unless it was somewhere that had been too out of control but there would be some locations that were called danger areas or belonged solely to certain influences so there would be problems or dangers ahead for her if she entered.

If she wished to head to a certain forest, mountain or high level location then she either needed the approval of others or she had to be able to survive in those areas that were off limits to ordinary people where many wild and dangerous Pokémon lived.

Even her current state that had been raised quickly would eventually hit its limits and slow down unless she was fully prepared to face the dangers ahead in those areas.

Some cities possessed a smaller population and a lower average of Pokémon levels so they needed to venture elsewhere to grow stronger so it was best to travel to other regions outside of Kanto or to have access to a route that could take her to other locations to help with her growth or tasks.

Saffron City had been the location that was most suited for the present Kimi and would provide all kinds of different routes or secret passages to make use of so she could journey to other cities.

It was the biggest city in Kanto, was in between many other cities and had a railway that ran between Kanto and Johto.

There were two gyms in the city which were the fighting and psychic gyms but Sabrina defeated them and stripped them of their right to be a gym.

The fighting gym then became a fighting dojo and the level average of Sabrina or people affiliated with those within the city was around level thirty and forty.

It was a good location for Kimi to find challenges so once she stepped inside and looked for a small place to live or set up a small spot for herself, there was an ongoing investigation into the people that had been defeated by her.

Kimi found the location and took away the contents of the hidden stashes of Pokédollars or other goods the moment that she had the time to dress herself in some casual clothes, a hat and glasses then found a safe place to keep them stored for later use or to pass onto Old P.

Kimi was seated on a chair and pressed on the earpiece. "Old P. I just got your package. What is this exactly?"

Old P answered calmly. "If you know anything about my background then you should know that certain requirements are needed for certain roles or jobs. You will have to deal with all kinds of situations from now on and you should be prepared for them.

Inside is something to help you build up your immunity to different kinds of poisons or effects from poison, bug or grass types. We will start you off on small doses for now since you are still young and growing."

Kimi paled and answered back. "Wait.. you want me to put my body through that kind of hell?"

Old P calmly spoke back. "I went through it and I am still living to this age so the side effects are not that much. It will help you in the long run. You may have gotten lucky that you could avoid a direct fight but not every task may have the same result."

Kimi thought to herself as she examined the vial in her hand. 'Urgh.. this looks so disgusting. Fine then… it would not be strange for someone like old P to have something like this and it is needed within a region like Kanto.'

There were assassins, thieves, spies or other people from other professions that would raise their poison immunity and the special task force that Old P belonged to did the same to increase their survival in all kinds of dangerous situations.

Depending on what was taken and the doses, it could cause various side effects or cause weaken the person that took them even if they were taken in a smaller dose.

It required the body to build up an immunity to resist poisons or other effects so that she could resist certain moves from poison, bug and grass type Pokémon of lower levels ranging from paralysis, sleep, hallucination or other effects to some extent.
