“Wouldn’t it have been far simpler to pay him off?” Rémy sighed.
“He didn’t want the money, he wanted Ian, and as you know, I couldn’t let him touch my mate.” Alpha Thierry nodded his head.
“Then I would have done the same. It was both brave and foolish of him to try and take down a man with a knife.”
The gossips are very efficient. Rémy said, “He was taught that if he was grabbed from behind by a person with a weapon, he should drop to the ground if there were others around to help him. He hit the knife on the way down.”
“Yes, I could see where that would be the proper maneuver for a fit human.” Alpha Thierry nodded. “I suppose he planned to trip him by going for his knees.”
