The soft murmur of the waves licking the shore before retreating to the open sea lulled the ears of the morning joggers with its gentle symphony. And the subtle caress of the rising sun was invigorating.
Tiana and Ruddy went running absolutely every morning, and in the evening, two or three times a week. This was not only to keep fit and healthy, but also to enjoy the quietness of the dawn, when the city is still quiet and most of its inhabitants asleep.
They had been running for about fifteen minutes when, turning around, Tiana was surprised to see that Ruddy was still far behind. She slowed down a little to allow him to catch up.
-Well then my angel, what's going on? I have known you to be more enduring.
Ruddy didn't even notice Tiana's wink, too busy trying to catch his breath. Tiana's smile disappeared, giving way to a worried expression.
-Are you sure you're okay ? You look way too out of breath.
He tried to answer as best he could.
-Don't. worry. I'm.fine.
