Chapter Twenty

I was so sure about how this thing would turn out as I made my way to bed, thinking about the text message Connor sent me last night. sitting up in bed I look around the room as I stretch my arms letting out a yawn. getting out of bed I make my way into the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. turning on the water I quickly splash my face with warm water and then grab a small towel from the closet to pat dry my face. going into my room I grab my phone to see it was 8 am, as I made my way to the kitchen for breakfast. Joe was sitting at the counter sipping his coffee reading the Sunday paper.

" good morning," I say smiling at him.

" good morning, fresh coffee in the pot," Joe says pointing towards the coffee maker.

" Thanks, where's mom?" I ask not seeing her anywhere

" she went out with her sister for breakfast." joe says folding the newspaper and grabs his coffee.

" oh ok. you headed out?" I ask as he turns to leave.
