Esmeralda pulled Angelina as she spoke,
" I want you to accompany me to the party next week. It's a party hosted by one of the seniors, " Esmeralda's hands clasped around her shoulders, "it's going to be amazing, you'll love it."
She smiled at her with eyes full of expectation. But that didn't make sense. There's no reason for Esmeralda to invite her to an event . And certainly there is no reason for Angelina to say yes.
She couldn't think of a single reason why she would want to go to a party in the first place especially with Esmeralda. It seemed like a waste of time. Not to mention, what was so great about it? "No, I don't want to go."
"Why not?" Esmeralda asked.
" What do you want from me? " Angelina asked Esmeralda back. Her voice rose slightly in pitch to convey her irritation. Esmeralda's face fell slightly and she looked away, avoiding Angelina's eye. After a moment she looked at her again.
