Lola sat in her office chair and gazed out her window for a long time as she twirled her pen between her fingers absentmindedly. There was nothing of particular interest to look at – just the blue sky above the city, and that was enough. She turned her attention away from the view and returned her gaze to her desk. Her eyes drifted towards her phone on the edge of her desk as it rang . Lola sighed deeply before answering the call ,
"Yes." She spoke softly.
"I did as you asked, I made sure Santiago doubts Livia,"

" That's good, Carlos , Thank you for your help, " Lola responded quietly, with some measure of relief.
" You're welcome" Carlos replied .
"I can't believe that you let me go through with this plan, though," He continued with his usual teasing tone.
Lola laughed at his comment. "You and I both know she deserves this. "
