Cotlin noticed that the knight was looking at him with agape mouth and trembling eyes. Instead of feeling uneasy that the knight might have seen him mixing something in his tea, he laughed.
"Thank you for the note. You have proven to be a good ally." the Knight felt like he had been shot by arrows, straight at his brain and his heart.
His power to think and understand felt leaving his body. It was not possible. The man could not have come by receiving his note. But then he admitted it himself.
"How.." he whispered as if he was afraid that his question might bring a reply he did not want to hear.
"You do not need to go into details." Cotlin took out a coin and threw it in the air. The knight, despite being scared, was trained for such things. He held the coin by instinct.
