"Phew, I finally made it despite feeling like a balloon about to pop." Lucien collapsed onto the sofa, gasping for air as he tried to relieve the sensation of being overly stuffed.
As he sat there, his mind drifted back to the dinner he had experienced earlier.
To his surprise, the dinner turned out much better than he had anticipated. The three women he had imagined to be formidable and intimidating were nothing of the sort. Although he possessed the memories of the original Lucien and was familiar with them, meeting them face-to-face was a different experience altogether. Initially, he had felt a tinge of fear, but it quickly dissipated as his worries proved unfounded.
