Mission Complete

As the Dwartle's were heading back to the broom closest they were in they were being watched. Not by the manager of the casino, but another powerful figure somewhere far away.

"Can you believe this" a tall imposing figure spoke. She was human in appearance, but had snake like eyes, tongue and and green scales sporadically along her body. She had long black hair that hid streaks of green underneath. She was a Medusa. "These newly sentient robots broke into your casino Boss. They killed a number of your men and stole from you. From you!"

She voiced her complaints to other in the room, but mainly to their boss. He was a well dressed and well built man sitting on a literal golden throne. He, like the woman venting, had red scales along his chiseled face and glowing yellow eyes. He had slick back grey hair and wore a 3 piece black suit. "This is rather interesting". His voice sounded like the crackling of hot embers in an abyss. "You all seem to have failed to noticed" he directed his voice to all those in the room. Mainly at the Medusa woman in front of him.

"Ceto. You should know better look closely at those robots and tell me what you can tell about them?"

Ceto, the Medusa woman, was startled by her bosses words, but directed her attention back at the robots on screen. She watched them move in unison. Like a well oiled machine. She did find their behavior odd.

Firstly they never randomly attacked people or lashed out. They only attacked then they were stopped or blocked from preforming their task. Secondly the robots were able to drain people of their energy or mana whenever they did fight. She thought it was a very powerful technique that who ever built them had gifted to them. Lastly was once the robots made it to the vault they only stole exactly 50,000 credits! They could have stolen millions, but for some reason they took such a low amount. What was their goal?

"I'm sorry boss. I fail to see what are so special about these robots. All I can tell is that they are not only newly built, based on their programing, but also were gifted a powerful technique when built." She spoke solemnly waiting to be yelled out by the boss.

The boss shook his head with a frown on his face. "Tisk tisk. Ceto I thought I trained you better. You are already Low-Rank 5. A powerhouse in any faction or nation of the COS and you still can't tell me why these robots are special."

She was given a hint! She directed her attention back to the screen. Her eyes widened and jaw dropped at the realization.

These robots were cultivators! How is that possible? Who could have cracked a secret like that? For someone to be able to build robots that could not only cultivate, but grow stronger from both materials and cultivation techniques. This person had to be a monster genius!

"Now do you understand" he said with a grin. "I don't care about the credits...well I do, but getting to know someone who can create robots like that is much more valuable." He directed his attention to a birdman. An alien with a human body, bird like head and wings.

"Arro. Please pass on a letter of recommendation to our organization to these robots. I want their master to eventually meet with us. And please make it quick."

Arro the birdman, who had a hawk like head, gulped seeing the eerie smile of his boss. He nodded quickly and rushed off to do the task for him.

As the Dwartle minions left the hallway from where the vault was the walked on the showroom floor. They didn't pay attention to their surroundings and carried on their march to the broom closest. All the gamblers were removed from that section of the floor with guards stationed near by to block the robots if they attacked. They thanked the gods when the robots walked pasted them without trying to attack them.

In the security office the manager sat in a chair. She was doing all she can to regain the mana she had lost in the fight. She held on to not 1, but 3 of those green crystals! It was very dangerous! She could compromise he body while absorbing so much energy at once. She was drawing in so much energy she didn't notice a long distance formation had activated. A flash of light occurred.

Arro appeared and saw the sorry state Klagatha was in. He just shook his head at her sorry state. Ignoring the fact what he saw her do was extremely dangerous. It was her life she could do what she wanted. To be a cultivator didn't just mean power. It was a choice that was a fine line between life and death. Just cultivating like she was now could make her stronger, or kill her.

Seeing as she was preoccupied Arro left the security room. He had a job to do from their boss. He quickly made his way from the security section of the space station and towards where the robots were heading. That was the one thing Arro's boss didn't know. Where they came from. When he reviewed the security footage the robots appeared out of thin air. From a broom closet of all places! What he didn't know was inside the broom closet was another door. That's where he robots came from.

Still didn't explain how that door came into being or what technique was used to make such a thing.

The guards all stiffened straight up as Arro walked by. He was know as the big boss's left hand. Where ever he went death would follow. Some of the guards smirked at seeing him. They all thought he was there to finish off the robots. As Arro passed by a line of them some of the guards quietly cheered or yelled out.

"Kick their ass Arro!"

"Yeah! Show them who runs this place!"

"Turn them into tin cans for our beers"

"Hahahaha I could go for a drink before the show starts"

Arro shook his head and rolled his eyes. The guards they hired were all muscle heads through and through. He wanted to yell at them, but now that he was close to the robots he didn't want them to see him as an enemy.

Not that they could hurt him, but his boss would most definitely hurt him if he screwed up like that. Seeing as he couldn't do anything about the situation he would take his anger out on the guards after this.

The Dwartle's neared the broom closet where they came from and stopped when a birdman stood in their way. They watched as he flexed his wings showing off his beautiful feathers and the 10ft wingspan of his powerful wings.

"Halt" he spoke in a stern voice, mimicking his own bosses voice. " It seems you 5 think you can come in here and do whatever you want without any repercussions." As he spoke the robots uncharacteristically stopped and listen. Arro was taken aback by their sudden change in demeanor

"I have a message from my boss. Mammon the Dracolich. He wished to invite your master to an auction coming up some time from now. Please deliver this to your master" Arro held an envelope. Inside was a hand written letter by Mammon himself!

Hearing this the guards were stunned! Their boss had offered a letter of a meeting with the creator for those robots? They didn't know if they should be angry at their boss or thankful. Seeing as their own boss had extended an olive branch then that means the creator of these robots was a big shot for sure!

The lead Dwartle minion hastily walked over and grabbed the letter from Arro. Once the robots collected the letter they continued towards the broom closed. As they passed Arrow was was surprised to sense that each robot was Low-Rank 3 cultivators. He knew it was true from his boss, but actually sensing it was entirely different.

He and every guard watched in silence as the robots entered the broom closet. Once they were all in the door behind them slammed shut. Just as the door slammed shut Arro felt compelled to check on them. Before anyone could blink Arro's body moved on his own and he had jerked the door open. All he was was an empty broom closet. No robots no nothing. Once he saw what he needed to his body went back to normal. Mammon had taken control to get a look of where the robots went, but failed in doing so.

Lucas was fast asleep when both groups of Dwartle Minions came back. He stirred in his sleep when the system's notifications started to go off.

[Attention: Orbital Casino Robbery Completed] [Reward: 50,000 credits and 1 Black Market Ticket] [30 VPs added]

[Attention: Museum Heist Completed] [Reward: 20,000 credits and 1 Ancient Bone] [Wyvern Skull added] [20 VPs added]

Lucas rubbed the crust out his eyes as he briefly read over the notifications. When he fully realized what he read he quickly got up and jumped for joy! "Amazing! I'm not broken anymore!" The first thing he did was make a 10x10 room that costed him 3,000 credits.

This was his canteen. He rushed over to the room. It was green and white tiled room with 2 rectangular machines. Both looked solid and had a single red button on them. Some how Lucas knew what each machine was and did.

The machine on the left was the first one he went to. He pressed the button and thought about the beverage he wanted. Water. Plain and simple. A second later a section of the machine opened revealing a large bottle of water. He quickly grabbed it and drank the entire contents in a matter of seconds. The cold water quenched his dry thirst. He shed a single tear.

As he wiped his mouth from the water around his lips he pressed the button again. This time instead of waiting he walked over to the other machine. He pressed the button on it and thought of the food he wanted. A few seconds later the machine opened revealing a plate of steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. Along with a fork and knife. He began to drool over the smell of the food. It was like a 5 star chef had made it. He collected his food and water and turned around to an empty room. Almost like the room itself listened to his wants and needs the floor opened. A table and chair rose from underneath.

A huge grin appeared on his face as another tear rolled down. He calmly took a seat and enjoyed his food with his eyes. Everything looked perfect and smelled even better. He cut his steak and watched the delicious juices flow out. He took a bite and savored it. It was the most delicious thing he's ever eaten! Granted he hasn't eaten in days prior. He proceeded to spend the next hour eating slowly and enjoying each bit. He mainly did this as he knew if he ate it all quickly he would only throw it back up.

He was truly in heaven.
