After having sex with Ari two weeks ago we had basically become official. We began hanging out a lot more. We also began doing our sexual activities more often and in riskier places.

As I sat atop of my mountain of treasure and jewelry I felt a disturbance in the area. Another mind controlled minion had fallen. But in the end it mattered not. She could always just infect another worthless human and repeat the cycle. The humans weren't smart enough to figure out what was truly happening. I would remain with her riches forever.

"Llowyn!" I called out.

A young brown skin girl with long curly hair stepped into the room.

"Yes ma'am?" Llowyn responded.

"Go find me another minion. Fast." I demanded.

"Uhm Lady Arachnia if you don't mind me asking, do you really need to infect more people? I mean you already have enough money and you're kind of ruining other people's liv-"

I slammed my fist into the wall. "Enough money? Enough money?! You can never have enough money! I'm appalled you would even imply such a thing! And why should I care what happens to those pathetic humans. Now go find me more of them until I have all the money in the world! Or I'll have you eaten alive by my insects."

Llowyn fearfully ran off, nearly tripping over her own feet. I sighed at the bumbling idiot that was my assistant.

"Oww..." I massaged my hand as it began to hurt. Punching a wall was harder than it looked.

"How did I get myself into this situation?" I asked myself.

It happened when I was fifteen. By that point I had already spent most of my life homeless. Food had run out and I had no where to go. I thought I was gonna die, that's when she showed up.

Arachnia had promised me plenty of food, water and even shelter. It seemed like a dream come true. I thought she was nice, but I couldn't have been more wrong.

Arachnia fed me just enough so that I wouldn't die and in turn she forced me to find people for her to infect. She would take control of their bodies by biting their necks and making them do her bidding. I couldn't stand that evil monster. But I couldn't do anything about it. She was far too weak to fight back.

I closed the dungeon as I layed down on my bed. I had just cleared a normal difficulty level dungeon. Gave me some pretty good gains too. But I couldn't think too much about that at the moment. I had a date with Ariyanna to get to.

We went to six flags. Ariyanna had proposed the idea when I admitted that I'd never been to six flags before. She told me everyone had to experience it at least once. And Shiromi came along 'cause she and I have been inseparable. Can you blame me? She's adorable. Ariyanna immediately forced me to go on one of the rollercoasters.

After experiencing the disney world rollercoasters when I was like nine I thought I had seen all there was to see. But boy was I wrong. The rides at six flags were 5 times taller and 10 times as fast. I had to force myself to not lose my shit. I swear I could feel my stomach being turned inside out when we reached those steep declines.

"Are you havin' a good time?" Ariyanna asks.

"Yeah. These are more fun than I thought they would be." Even if the rides could be absolutely stomach turning at times he still enjoyed himself overall.

"Good to hear. Let's go on that one next." Ariyanna said as she pointed to an even taller pendulum ride.

While they were waiting in line for the ride I felt Shiromi prod me. She pointed her nose at a girl dragging some guy away. I viewed the scene confusedly. She was doing this publicly and no one else seemed to notice.

Suspicious. I felt like I needed to follow her. "Ari, I gotta use the bathroom." I tell her.

"Okay I'll be waiting near the entrance."

I nodded before walking over to find the girl dragging the guy across the ground. I sneak behind her as I follow. The girl brought the unconscious guy to an abandoned warehouse.

I got into the warehouse and hid behind a pile of boxes.

"Lady Arachnia, I brought a new vessel."

"Yes yes give it here."

I peeked over the boxes and saw the girl and what had to be Arachnia.

Arachnia was about to put the human under mind control but she sensed something. "Wait, there's someone here."

The girl looked around nervously. "W-What do you mean?"

"You idiot! You led an outsider to my base!" Arachnia lifted her hand to slap the girl but before her hit landed, Arachnia was hit with a large fireball.

"Hm, that was a lot easier than I thought it would it be." I muttered.

"Y-You fool. This isn't the end of me. He will avenge me." Arachnia laughed before dying.

Suddenly something emerged from Arachnia's corpse. I grabbed the girl and the unconscious guy and backed up a bit.

The thing that emerged from was a human-like insect. It had the head of a fly, human appendages, an armored body and wings.

"What is that thing?" I whispered.

"Her last ditch effort." The girl said.

The confrontation began with Beru charging forward, his armored exoskeleton deflecting my initial fire spells. As I struggled to control my magic, I unleashed bursts of flames that danced across the battlefield, creating a chaotic spectacle. However, Beru's agility allowed him to evade most of the fiery onslaught, closing the distance with alarming speed.

With a powerful swing, Beru threw a punch, sending me staggering backward.

The impact rattled my entire body, but I quickly regained my footing, wielding my poisoned dagger in a desperate attempt to turn the tide. However, Beru's hardened carapace proved challenging to penetrate, and my attacks seemed ineffective against the armored foe.

As the battle raged on, Beru pressed his advantage, delivering a barrage of rapid strikes that tested my defenses. I was feeling the weight of my inexperience, focused on evading Beru's onslaught while searching for an opportunity to strike back.

In a moment of desperation, I channeled my remaining energy into a series of precise strikes with my poisoned dagger. The venomous blade found its mark, exploiting a small gap in Beru's armor and weakening the insectoid warrior. Despite Beru's resilience, the cumulative effect of the poison began to take its toll, slowing his movements and dulling his reflexes.

Seizing the opportunity, I unleashed a final burst of fire magic, engulfing Beru in searing flames. The combination of poison and fire proved too much for Beru to withstand, and he collapsed, defeated.
