Chapter 10: Family reunion?

Somewhere else...

Training grounds, mid-morning...

Under a tree laid a young man sleeping surrounded by bottles of alcohol, on the verge of utter peace he laid there uncaring of his surroundings, unbothered by what happened around him he slept peacefully.

Twitching and turning he began to move about in his sleep as if he was having a nightmare... groaning as if he was in pain, in agony but he still didn't awake from his slumber.

~rustles~ wind blowing onto the trees and bushes.

When suddenly a leaf from the tree he was under fell off, dance and swirling in the air like a ballerina performing on theatre ever so elegantly landing gracefully onto his face like a figure skater landing gracefully on ice.

Upon the leaf landing he opened his eyes as if analyzing his surroundings... gauging he was relatively safe he leaned up stretching yawning as if to soothe the aches his body gave him. He got up and walked towards the flowing river took off his clothes and dived in going for a swim.

He stayed at the bottom of the river meditating for a couple hours immersed, eventually he swam back up, reach the surface his hair covered his face so using his right hand he slicked it back when suddenly.

"Huh..." (Menma)

"Someone must be talking about me, I won-" (Menma)

A-ah-achoo!

I should get out now... must be the effect sleeping out here after drinking, I should really find myself somewhere more hospitably to sleep. (Menma)

Getting out he puts on a fresh set of clothes and stretches again before heading off.

{A/N: Heh, you really thought he would put back on them dirty clothes... please remember he's not from that world and previously came from he is aware of his hygiene.}

'Today should be the day Naruto returns, it is where he reunites with his friends and mentors. I wonder should I go see the battle between him and Kakashi it still intrigues me to witness something only seen on TV.'

'Then again there is that annoying character that will be there to... Sakura Haruno, utterly detestable. Putting her in the recycling bin for now, there is someone I am eagerly yet afraid to meet'

Sighing and shaking his head he continued his walk ready for what was to come.

~Rustles~ 

"Reporting, you've been summoned by lady Tsunade. The meeting place is at the Hokage building." (Anbu ninja)

"Got it." (Menma)

~Swoosh~

And like that the Anbu vanished leaving Menma to wonder what she wanted.

"I wonder what her reaction will be? I hope she liked my gift... hmm, but seriously what is it she wants? I was planning to go see the fight between master and student with me own eyes..." ( Menma)

'Should ignore her and go witness the fight...' No, let's go see what she wants. (Menma)

And like that he headed towards his designated point.

Hokage building...

Upon reaching he headed inside Menma stood before the door which leads to the Hokage office as he stood there, he wondered what laid behind the door and if he was ready for what was about to happen. Eventually he knocked on it.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

"Enter!"

Entering Menma was met with a scene he never expected... the people in the room was Kakashi, Sakura, Tsunade, Shizune, Jiraiya and of course the MC of this world Naruto Uzumaki.

Uhm... what's going on?

Smiling Tsunade answered.

'It seems... I caught him of guard.' "I've called you here today to formally introduce you to your brother. (Tsunade)

"Nani! .... what'd you just say!? (Naruto)

"Naruto has a brother.... that's impossible, everybody knows he has no family or relative. what do you mean his brother? (Sakura)

"Yeah, granny Tsunade that is impossible y-you're not pulling my leg or anything as a prank for returning or anything r-right? (Naruto)

Naruto was surprisingly quiet it was like the shock was too much for him at the moment, Sakura on the other hand tried to rationalize what was going on but Tsunade answered her to suite leave her speechless. Jiraiya and Kakshi exchanged looks but didn't say a thing.

Awaiting to proof the physical proof, they had already gotten the news of what had transpired so they were less taken back than Sakura but as the saying goes " seeing is better than believing" so they were waiting for him to remove his mask.

"I... see..." 'well this was unexpected; with both of their appearances I can't act as rashly as I did before.' (Menma)

"Well... remove the mask and introduce yourself." (Tsunade)

Upon removing his mask Kakashi, Sakura and Jiraiya were taken back by the uncanny resemblance between both brothers... they saw the similarities but also noted the differences between them.

"No way..." (Sakura)

'So, you're sensei's other son.' (Kakashi)

'Interesting, we meet at last Menma.' (Jiraiya)

Naruto just stood their incapable of processing what was transpiring right in front of him. 

"My name is Menma Uzumaki, it is an honor to meet you in person Kakashi and Jiraiya... I've been fortunate enough to hear about the great things you've done for the village, for that I thank you." (Menma)

"So, you've heard about me? Guess I underestimated my fame a little bit." (Jiraiya)

"Who hasn't heard of Jiraiya the gallant, one of the three legendary Sanin, master of the fourth hokage and disciple of the third hokage... and most importantly the author of the Icha Icha series." (Menma)

Jiraiya listened to Menma but wasn't really impressed by what he said for anyone could get what he mentioned once you ask about him... what really caught his attention was the mentioning of his books he wrote.

"I see you're a man with great taste, a devotee... a man of culture." (Jiraiya)

Menma smiles at what Jiraiya said and looked him in the eyes, at that moment it felt as if he had met someone who could understand him and the nature of his book.

With a slight bow of respect, Menma returns back to his previous posture an directs his attention towards Sakura.

'I don't really like her, but she can be of some use in the future.' (Menma)

"And you must be Sakura, lady Tsunade's second disciple and my brother's teammate, I hope he hasn't caused you much trouble in the time spent with him." (Sakura)

"I... uh... w-well it's no issue, yeah... no problem," 'come on Sakura you can do this take deep breaths' ~inhales exhales~ 'ok' " I can't say anything about him at the moment, but he has shown a more mature growth than he did in the past." (Sakura)

"Hm... that's good news." (Menma)

'let's end all these pleasantries.' "So, can I ask what it is you needed of me? it can't be only for a family reunion." (Menma)
