Reincarnated into prison life, with a trash system

He wasn't the one the whimsical god wanted, so he was discarded to the side, with his memories locked up until the world was saved. Who cares about that, though? When his memories finally returned, he was standing in the courtroom, as the judge was sentencing him to a lifetime in prison for a crime he did not commit. And although at first, the Prison Dungeon didn't seem so bad, he was about to learn that the prison, is not just a place...

Venting off

"...I do feel much lighter and stronger... Hmph. Time to try to train the stress away."

Viria clenched and relaxed his left fist and nodded.

Just a few hours earlier, an attempt to crush the mole-rabbit skull with just his fist would end up in a painful injury on Viria's part, but now... the only evidence was the blood and hardly an itch.

And that was even without wrapping his hand in the monster's skin!

"SKWEEEEE!"

"Ah. Perfect. Better safe than sorry."

The screech of a mole-rabbit spotting him made Viria grin and straighten his back – it might have looked like he didn't need the wrapping anymore, but when the fresh materials pushed themselves into his hands...

---------

"Haaaah..."

While Viria was beginning his rampage in the monster spawning grounds, the warden still in his office let out an annoyed sigh.

Yarezu Vindras whom Viria talked with just a few minutes earlier flickered and his silhouette became foggy...

The next moment a large gate appeared in front of his sturdy desk, just to disappear only a second later.

"...haaah..."

...and as it did, the person sitting behind the desk was no longer Yarezu Vindras, a middle-aged gentleman – but a young woman that looked as if she was only a few years older than Viria.

"Dad always said that even he isn't always right, but to think that he would end up letting a scum that raped Arfithia settle on the first floor..."

The young woman grabbed onto her long silver hair and hid her face behind it.

"My best friend shut herself off from the outside world and I have to watch a scum that hurt her live a life that many far better people can only dream about. Bullshit. As long as dad stays at the Spirit Emperor's palace, I make the rules. And I will make sure that this rapist scum gets thrown into the lower floors!"

She raised her head and pulled her hair back while declaring to herself with a confident expression.

"Ha...! Didn't you show up with the perfect timing?"

As the pile of mole rabbit corpses was steaming in the depths of the first floor monster spawning grounds, Viria glanced at his soul artifact and then smirked at the new monster that showed up.

The creature was only slightly bigger than an average mole-rabbit, it had reddish fur, a long puffy tail and lanky legs, and also distinctive triangular ears with a black tuft of fur on the ends.

The most important parts though were the sets of shining black claws and long fangs protruding from the beast's mouth.

"Just to be sure... what are you exactly?"

The young man asked, but got no answer from the system this time.

"Huh, guess it doesn't work how a proper appraisal should. Oh, well."

Viria raised his brow and sighed, but didn't linger on the problem any longer than a few moments.

The creature facing him had definitely fit the book's definition of a mole fox – a low-low to medium low level monster that predated on the mole-rabbits and lived whenever the weaker rodents were spawning.

They were usually stealth hunters and despite having powerful jaws and claws they would not often choose to face their prey head-on.

That was also the reason why that particular one was Viria's first specimen seen live.

Well... first specimen to see live when he was fully conscious and not blinded by bloodthirsty rage, that is.

"Now then... dear ambush hunter without an ambush, what are you planning to do?"

Viria grinned, lowering his body about to charge the monster.

"Repair."

Without taking his eyes off the predating creature, the young man called out a command and the splintered bloody mole rabbit bones that were sticking out of his pocket began glowing with a faint light that enveloped the prison shiv in his right hand too.

"Khrrrrrr!"

The mole-fox bared more of its fangs – rather impressive for its overall size – and let out a growl that perfectly fitted the image that it was giving off.

"Is that so?"

*SHING*

Viria responded by grinning wildly and suddenly twisted his body, pushing off the ground with his left hand to add more speed to the rotation while slashing over himself with the prison shiv in his right hand...

"YIIIGFRGH...!"

As he did, the blade of his soul artifact burrowed itself and slashed through the flesh of the second mole-fox that was mid-jump and only a second away from tearing the back of Viria's neck apart.

*THUMP* *SPLURT*

"Yiiiigpfh...!"

The wounded creature hit the ground and let out a pained yelp as its intestines were pushed outside the stomach cut wide open.

"KHRRRRRIIIIGH!"

The first mole-fox let out a furious howl and charged forward as Viria was only regaining his balance.

...or so it seemed like...

"Iiiiidooot~!"

*WHOOOSH*

The crouched young man laughed mockingly before launching himself forward, not slashing with his soul artifact but punching with his left hand instead.

*WHAM* *crunch*

"YIIIIIIIGHH...!"

*THUMP*

The hit connected right with the monster's nose, breaking its long snout and readjusting it at a weird angle as the monster yelped, falling on the ground, right into its comrade's intestines.

Viria wasn't waiting for the injured monsters to have even a moment of time to realize what was going on.

*THUNK* *CRUNCH*

He dashed towards them with all his might and while he lost his footing on the everpresent viscera, he managed to stab at the first monster's head, stabbing into its brain through its eye and then finish the job with the second one, and snapping its spine with his elbow as he hit the ground.

*crack*

As he jumped right back at his feet, looking around for more creatures trying to attack him, the prison shiv suddenly let out a hollow noise and a big crack appeared in its blade, only for said blade to break apart and fall into the mess created by the bloody battle.
