The two guards looked at each other before taking the bills. They rubbed their sides and smelled their fingers examining the dye they were made with and after confirming the authenticity they nodded at each other.
"Inmate Viria, wasn't it? I see Bossac wasn't kidding. No problem. The juvenile prisoners will not be bothered. We are looking forward to working with you in the future."
The man that talked with Bossac the day before and smiled at Viria while hiding the green bill in his pocket.
"Likewise."
The young man nodded at the guards again before leaving.
First of all, he went back to his shack and dropped off the bloody package.
His left hand was in bad shape for sue and the pain only getting worse and worse, but Viria still preferred to suffer a bit longer than having to explain, or worse give up, the materials that he was going to turn into the trash and then remake his soul artifact with them.
The shack wasn't the perfect place to store anything – especially because of the blatant absence of locks – but it had to do for now.
With that in mind, Viria ended up returning to the clinic he left at night.
"I don't care! How is it possible that a recovering patient leaves and no one has any idea where he is?! What will I tell lord warden after he returns tonight?! If he is not found out within an hour, I will personally ask lord warden to demote you all and send you to keep watch over the degenerates from the third floor!"
As the young man was entering, the voice of an absolutely furious Bossac was clearly audible right from the entrance.
The moment that the supposed best healer amongst the guards ended up shouting the other staff scattered, checking out all the rooms and hallways in search of the missing patient.
"Umm..."
"NOT NOW! WE HAVE AN EMERGENCY! COME BACK LATER!"
Viria thought that the ruckus was caused by his disappearance, so when a scared-looking guard showed up running his way, he raised his healthy right hand while making an apologetic expression, but was shouted at before he could say sorry.
"...huh..."
Viria raised his brows and stepped to the side so the guard could pass him.
"Well, that was awkward..."
The young man muttered to himself feeling a bit embarrassed over the fact that he immediately assumed that he was the center of the attention and the cause of Bossac's anger.
Still, Viria's curiosity was peaked – who was so important that the usually helpful guard was on the verge of losing it?
With that in mind, although the young man was aware that it wasn't the best timing, he still walked towards the room where he believed Bossac was shouting from and peeked inside with an innocent expression.
"Hello... Sorry to be a bother when you're busy, but can I buy some healing...?"
Already aware of how things work in the prison dungeon, Viria asked the crestfallen guard burrowing his face in his hands in desperation, while waving around the last green bill in his possession hoping for enticing a positive reaction.
"Ugh.. not now, boy. I am looking for... YOU?!"
Bossac groaned, breathing out heavily before flinching and jumping out of his chair wide-eyed.
"Boy!"
"Mister Bossac...?!"
The helpful guard called out in disbelief and the taken-aback Viria called back in a confused voice.
"Where have you been?! Why did you disappear without saying a word?! Do you have any idea what trouble lord warden would get if something happened to you?!"
Bossac walked up to Vira, grabbed his shoulders, and shook him while asking – causing the bloody-black-haired youth to grit his teeth in order to stop himself from punching the guard in the face for breaching his personal space.
"I went late-night hunting just like yesterday. I didn't meet anyone on my way out. And, no. I don't know. Why would my well-being have anything to do with lord warden...?"
Viria Stepped back, sliding out of Bossac's reach, and answered all the questions before adding one of his own.
"A... umm... it doesn't matter. What's important is that you are fine!"
Bossac tensed up before making a fake smile and waving his hand dismissively.
"Well, not really, though. That's what I want to buy healing. It costs a green bill, right?"
The young man raised his brow and then his swollen left hand, pointing out the obvious before presenting the helpful guard with his last green bill.
"Don't be silly, boy! Why would I charge you for healing? That's essential, and you don't have to pay for it, at least you don't have to pay me for healing you!"
"...okay..."
Viria didn't know what caused the change in Bossac's act but he didn't feel like the helpful man was going to tell him anyway, so there was no need to refuse free treatment.
Thanks to that, the young man left the clinic sometime later with many questions but none of the wounds and a green bill still in his possession.
For a moment Viria considered using it to was up at the bathland of respite, but then he remembered that he heard Bossac shouting about lord warden coming back the same night.
That was a problem as previously the warden was supposed to show up after a whole wek would pass.
The sudden change of plans wasn't a good thing mainly because of the changed artifact in Viria's possession.
Was he really supposed to explain why his artifact jumped a grade?
This could cause so many questions and potential problems that the risks outweigh the benefits.
First of all Viria's family had made a choice, they chose his scummy younger brother instead of him – the young man didn't feel like trying to appeal to them even though there was a possibility of his artifact being a special mythic grade only disguised as trash grade or rather low grade.
It felt like they would not lift a finger to help him if he would show up with anything better than the heavenly gong of his younger brother.
That meant one thing – Viria had to get his hands on the tin trash as fast as possible.
Thankfully, he knew just the right place.
