Chapter 38: Battle I

During these two days I was very busy spending my time managing matters related to The Royal Academy. These past two days I kept coming back late at night since I had to prepare the documents that must be sent before I move to the academy dorm with Violet.

I almost forgot that today there will be sparring between me and with the knight under my care. Didn't even have time to sleep after finishing my last documents, I quickly went to take a shower and prepare myself to go to the training ground.

"Darling... where are you going early this morning...?" I suddenly heard Violet's voice as I was putting on my boots.

"Aren't we leaving to The Royal Academy at noon... what's the rush...?" She said again while rubbing her pretty light violet eyes.

I'm staring at each her movement then walked towards her, I lifted her off the bed weighless and sat her on my lap.

"I miss you..." She said softly as she hugged me tightly.

"I'm a little busy right now... I'm sorry bae..." I said as I placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"I understand... you don't have worry..." Violet said to me with a warm smile, I put her back to bed slowly after hugging her for awhile to get rid of the longing I have for her these past two days.

"Darling... you know that I really love reading books right...?" Violet suddenly asked me as she look into my golden yellow eyes.

"Yeah, of course I do." I answered her confidently.

"Then could you mind sharing me at least one of your favourite love story...? pretty please..." She begged, while she said that I somehow could see a cat tail and ears on her.

'Ugh... this cute...' I thought in my mind.

"For me... hmm... when you asked me that, I only have one story that appear on my mind." I said to her.

"It is when I look back to the day we first met, I still see that moment as my favourite love story..." I said to her as I gave her a warm smile.

Violet then quickly covered her entire body with a blanket on the bed and pretend to sleep. I managed to catch her blushing face and chuckled myself on seeing how cute she was.

"ahaha... bye bae..." I said to her before closing the door.

I arrived quite early at the training ground since there were no other knights seen here. I didn't want to waste any times so I decided to warm my body up. I ran around the training ground and do a few hundred push ups. As I was about to finish warm my body up, finally one by one knights arrive.

Since I had finished warmed up earlier, I stood on the side of the field and waited for them to finish their run. When they finished running around the field, they continued to try to line up straight even though each of them was still gasping for oxygen.

"Olympus... have you woken up?" I mumbled quietly.

"Thou hast been awake since thee spoiled the woman that sat there...." Olympus's voice rang out in my mind.

"Sit there? Where?" I asked Olympus.

"A seat on the north side." Olympus answered me.

I turned my head towards the north and suddenly I felt myself full of energy and enthusiasm when I saw Violet sitting in the empty audience seat.

*BADUM BADUM BADUM

'Olympus... let's do our best today yeah...?' I said to Olympus in my mind.

"...yes, my lord." Answered Olympus but somehow her voice seemed less interested than usual.

'What's wrong with her...?' I thought in my mind.

Ignoring her unusual attitude, it seem that everyone has done so I commanded them to line up according to their own group. Fastfully, they all started moving quickly in five groups where the leader is Brandy, Jenny, Charlet, Alisa and Zurex.

"Brandy, Jenny, Charlet, Alisa and Zurex please come forward and draw to know the group that you'll fight in the referee's hands." I said in monotone.

They all then came forward, the draw they got was quite surprising...

Draw results:

*Zurex team vs Jenny team

*Alisa team vs Brandy team

*Charlet team vs whichever team loses the match since the team numbers are odd...

Based on the results obtained, the Charlet team is said to be quite lucky because they only have to fight against an opponent team that is tired and lost to the other teams. Meanwhile, I expect intense battle between the Jenny team and Zurex team. And the last team is Brandy and Alisa, for this I will give more emphasis to Brandy team to win.

"The battle between Zurex team and Jenny team will begin shortly! Please choose your sword! Anyone who has their own weapon is welcome to use it!" Shout the referee clearly and thoroughly.

Zurex also didn't miss the change to help his members choose the right sword...

The members of Jenny's group seem to have each prepared their own weapons. Some members of the Zurex group decided to use the weapons provided.

The cold wind and the snowy atmosphere didn't stop us from sweating... with this kind of weather, the match will be more intense.

After they stood with their weapons and were ready, I as an observer stood on the side of the field in case there was an emergency situation. The other Knight was sitting in the audience not far from where Violet was sitting now.

"Everyone stand in position!" Shout the referee.

*LEADER NODDED

"In count... 3, 2, 1 BATTLE START!" Shout the referee again.

Team Zurex did not delay the opportunity for Team Jenny to attack first. The Zurex member with fire elemental magic aimed a huge fire ball attack at Jenny. But! Jenny easily dodged the swift attack.

Zurex himself also targeted Jenny as his main opponent. Zurex ran quickly with his twin swords in both hands and continued to attack Jenny openly. Maybe because he felt he had an upper hand in terms of physical strength compared to Jenny. But he forgot that Jenny has an incomparable intelligence....

What happened next surprised me even more...
