Chapter 5: Together, They Face Their Future! (1)

After his confession, Haru led Sora and Suzuka somewhere.

Sora and Suzuka, holding each of Haru's arms, were following him; they were curious about where they would stay in Paradise for several days.

Suzuka, who had her misgivings for staying here in the first place, had decided to let loose. She was in a good mood because she had become her Onii-chan's lover. And her pleasant feelings made her want to enjoy an extended vacation in Paradise. After all, only several seconds would pass on the other side in spite of several days would cross here.

As of now, the three of them were walking through a cobblestoned path that cut through the woods. When Sora and Suzuka saw the woods splitting up and stone pavements appearing from the ground to create this path, they had a dumbfounded expression.

Although they have experienced fantastical views after arriving in Paradise, they still felt surprised by the new stuff; they had yet to become numb by how out of the norm it was.

"Is it still far?" Sora asked and sounded very impatient.

"Nope. We almost arrive at our destination," Haru replied.

Meanwhile, Suzuka was silent as they walked through the cobblestoned road. With the light produced by the glowing coconuts that attached to three meters tall coconut tree at the sides of the path, they continued walked until they arrived on the other side.

"Onii-chan, is that where we will live in the next several days?" Suzuka asked after seeing a comfortable two-storied wooden cottage.

"Yup."

"Hmmm…" Sora hummed with a strange glint in her eyes.

"What's it?" Curious, Haru couldn't help but ask Sora. Suzuka also looked at her stepsister.

"It feels like we have a honeymoon, don't you think so?"

"Ho-Honeymoon?!" Suzuka suddenly became filled with strange tension and unintentionally raised her voice. Her face turned very red, and her eyes roamed around in panic.

"Right?" Sora had a mischievous smirk as she looked at Suzuka's worked up behavior.

Haru became exasperated and pinched Sora's waist.

"Ouch! That hurts!" Teary-eyed, Sora complained at Haru.

"Then, stop teasing your little sister!"

Haru reprimanded Sora, who pouted petulantly and then threw her face away.

"You're no fun. Besides, look! Her mind has dived into the gutter!"

Haru followed Sora's eyes and saw Suzuka's silly expression.

At this point, Suzuka had a toothy, foolish grin and glazed, dreamy eyes. She also muttered something incoherent under her breath.

Actually, she spoke garbled because even Haru enhanced senses couldn't understand her alien language.

In the end, Haru shook his head in resignation and decided to drop the matter.

"All right. Let's go inside. I will show you around," Haru declared and brought his little sisters inside the wooden cottage.

After that, Haru led his sisters-slash-lovers into the cottage. After entering, Sora and Suzuka inspected the first floor of their residence in the next several days.

"There are only a living room, kitchen, and a bathroom on the first floor. Meanwhile, there is only a bedroom on the second floor," Haru explained, and his little sisters nodded their heads in understanding.

Suddenly, Sora tugged Haru's arm, catching Haru's attention.

"What's it?"

When Haru looked at Sora, he saw a predatory glint in her eyes. At this time, Suzuka also turned her head to Sora.

"Ne, Haru, since we now are lovers, does it mean that we can have sex?"

There was a beat of silence. Haru and Suzuka were stunned by Sora's frankness. Then, Suzuka recovered from her shock-induced daze and exploded, screaming in a shrilly voice.

"S-s-s-sex! W-w-w-what are you saying, you pervert?!"

Sora turned her head to Suzuka. Her expression was displeased.

"Who you called pervert?" Sora retorted in a wronged tone.

"Of course, you!" Suzuka pointed her index finger to Sora. She then shook her head when she realized that she had gotten sidetracked. "No! That's not it! You, why did you ask something outrageous like that?! We just became Onii-chan's l-lovers! It is too early for s-sex, you know!"

Sora slightly tilted her head and gave Suzuka a mocking smile and condescending eyes. "Too early? I don't think so, little girl. I have been in love with Haru for a long time ago. Since we are now a pair of lovers, it is only normal that we have sex, yes?" Sora said without any sign of shame.

Suzuka was at a loss for words when she heard Sora's words but soon recovered from her shock-induced daze. She frowned and gave Sora a displeased stare. A few seconds later, she turned her head to Haru, who was staying silent so far.

Haru just stood there, calmly looking at the exchange of Sora and Suzuka. When he saw Suzuka looking at him, he shrugged his shoulders as if trying to say, "I can't help you. You're on your own."

Suzuka's frown deepened when she saw Haru's careless and nonchalant behavior. "What's with that, Onii-chan? This matter is serious and also relates to you, you know!"

Haru released a deep sigh in a mix of vexation and resignation. "Well, what do you want to hear from me? If Sora has set her mind, I can only try my best to meet her expectation as both her brother and lover," he replied with a helpless expression.

Suzuka, once again, was at a loss for words. She then palmed her face and released a loud sigh, which was full of suffering.

"You two are blood-related siblings. Don't you think that it's wrong for you two to have sex? I can understand if it is a mere kiss, but sex is…" Suzuka trailed off.

Sora crossed her arms on her chest and released a snort in displeasure. She then sneered at Suzuka and said, "Do you think I care about what people think about me? About us? About my relationship with Haru? Let me tell you: I don't give a damn about what they think! I want to be happy! If my happiness inconveniences them, then it is their problem. Not mine. Besides, Haru never refused it." She turned her head to Haru and continued, "Right?"

Haru had a wry smile when Sora and Suzuka turned their heads to him. "Now, now, don't look at me like that." He tried to deflect their attention to no avail.

"Don't change the topic of our talk. Answer me properly, Haru!" Sora demanded with a grave expression. Suzuka also waited for Haru's reply with her solemn expression.

Haru knew that he couldn't divert them from this topic. Thankfully, he had prepared for this since a while ago.

"If you want my honest opinion, well, I have no problem with it."

When Sora heard Haru's answer, she had a triumphant look. On the other hand, Suzuka was stunned. Haru then continued before Suzuka recovered from her shock-induced daze; he had an inkling feeling that she would explode after she recovered.

"Maybe, this is because of a different value I have after regaining my past life memory, but I really don't care about what society perceived as wrong. As long as I don't commit something evil and don't inconvenience others, they shouldn't mind my business. I never meddle in their business, so they must not meddle in mine. That's my honest opinion."

"Hear that!" Sora seemed pleased with Haru's words. Meanwhile, Suzuka rubbed her forehead as if trying to hold the incoming headache.

"Both of you really have set your mind in this, I see. I have an inkling feeling that you two won't change your mind. But, incest is wrong for reasons, you know."

Suzuka paused and alternated her eyes, which shone with complicated emotions, to Haru and Sora for a short time; she then continued her words.

"Putting how society frowns on incest aside, it is wrong because the offspring born from incest often has complications like physical defects or mental defects or even both! Don't you feel sorry for your future offspring if you two keep insisting on this?"

After listening to Suzuka's logical argument, Sora couldn't stop her frown marring her face. She actually felt shaken because Suzuka had pointed out why almost all cultures and societies frowned on incest.

In truth, Sora was a little simple-minded and hardheaded. She never thought about the long term repercussion that could affect her future offspring if she went on with her selfish desire. Although she was still young, it didn't mean that she never fantasized about becoming a mother.

Becoming a mother was all women's natural calling. More so when the woman found someone suitable to be her lifetime partner. It was a fundamental thing that they couldn't reject.

Sora was no different. After she fell in love with Haru, she wanted to build a proper family with him, with her as the mother, Haru as the father, and a child or two.

Sora felt uncertain after listening to Suzuka's sound argument.

"If you worry about whether my and Sora's future offspring will come out healthy or not, you are worrying over nothing."

Haru's sudden exclamation caught Sora's and Suzuka's attention. They turned their heads to Haru, who immediately explained to them.

"Do you forget that your Onii-chan is also a genius magician? I feel confident that I can fix whatever problems our offspring will have in the future."

"Ah! That's right! Onii-chan can use magic! Tch!" Suzuka made a complicated expression.

"Is it true, Haru?" Sora, meanwhile, questioned the credibility of Haru's words. She looked so hopeful.

Haru gave Sora a confident nod. When Sora saw that, she unconsciously released a deep sigh, relieved. Sora then looked at Suzuka and spoke up.

"Well, you heard Haru, right? I don't think there are going to be problems with me having sex with Haru."

"Uuuuuh…" Suzuka twisted her face because of her complicated feelings and weakly groaned.

"Hey, Suzuka."

Haru called Suzuka after he 'Appraised' her. He had been a bit curious as to why she wanted to stop him and Sora from having sex. In the end, he found the reason.

"What?" Suzuka turned her head to Haru and asked.

"Do you perhaps want to have sex with me too, but you are not ready yet?"

"Huh?" Suzuka was at a loss for words after hearing Haru's question.

It looked like Haru somehow had hit the bullseye.
