Reincarnated As Muichiro Tokito

What happens when someone reincarnates as Muichiro Tokito in Demon Slayer, but things in this world are different from the original story. Please note I'm just writing this for fun. P.S: English is my 3rd language so there will be quite a few of mistakes but it should be readable. [Cover is not mine] Discord: https://discord.gg/7Zws4xjx8T

[Mist Breathing. Eighth Form: Blinding Mist]

Muichiro brought his sword up and slashed, aiming right for the demon's neck. She countered by forming ice on her aim. His sword hit her arm, cutting it off. Just then, five more slashes followed suit.

With every slash Muichiro delivered, four to six more would follow up right after. Granted, they were weaker than the first, but still more than enough to push her back quite a bit.

She was losing, and last. No matter what she did, no close-range attack even made it to him to cause any damage. Whether it be ice or her sending a full power punch, Muichiro would block and cut it down within a second.

The eighth form was all about sending countless slashes towards his target and cutting them down. Unless you can outclass him in speed, you don't have much hope of winning—well, unless you have a way of creating some distance.

However, while using the form, he tuned out everything else and put all of his focus on his opponent. All of his senses were focused on her and nothing else.

Unfortunately, despite it being a very deadly form, it does have its drawbacks. Like the fact that if another enemy joins the fun, then it'll break his focus on that one foe.

The boy has yet to find a way to fix that. Every solution he tried wouldn't work. Muichiro is always trying to improve it, but the form just won't get any better, and he, being very stubborn, wants to completely perfect it.

Muichiro knew that the form probably wasn't going to get any better, but he could at least try. And it wasn't mindlessly slashing. However, he made quite a few new patterns just in case someone was able to see the pattern and counter it.

The demon's confidence spiked when she saw Muichiro's display. She was thinking that maybe, just maybe, he was now going all out and she was able to counter his attacks.

He wasn't. Far from it.

Muichiro has had dozens of openings to take her head off her shoulders, but he wanted to test the form since he had never used it against a live opponent.

Just because he was using one of his best forms didn't mean he was going one hundred percent.

The demon quickly realized that no matter how many attacks she threw at him, none of the attacks would hit. There wasn't even a scratch on the boy, and if this continued, the sun would come up and she would die painfully.

Running was impossible with the blinding wave of attacks the pillar was constantly putting her under. Even now, she was pushing her Blood Demon Art to its limits just to stay alive.

She tried many times to freeze his blade. Again, it didn't even work.

Her confidence was fading by the second every time Muichiro was a hair away from taking her head off her shoulders. So she opted for long range instead.

The demon created a wall of ice between her and Muichiro in order to give her a few seconds. Muichiro effortlessly jumped over the wall–which was actually only a few inches taller than me–and released dozens of slashes downwards.

However, lances of ice formed behind him and shot downwards. The boy could feel the incoming danger, but if he broke his concentration after using the form for so long, he doubted he would be able to get into the mindset again.

His mind needed to be void of almost all thoughts. Even for him, it's very difficult to do. He doubted any of the others could use it as effectively since his thoughts were almost always blank.

He could either break his focus and just kill her immediately, or possibly get himself slightly injured just to test something.

There was also the fact that the boy's pride as a Hashira would never let her get any major injuries because of such a weak demon.

Luckily, he didn't have to do a thing against them since he wasn't the only pillar in the fight.

[Love Breathing. First Form: First Love Shivers]

Mitsuri lunged herself into the air from the top of a roof near the two. Her sword winged around the dozen ice lances. She brought the hilt of her sword down, and slashed all the lances into pieces. Shards of ice rained down on the slayer and the demon below.

With Mitsuri taking care of all the long range attacks, then Muichiro could take care of the demon with little to no fuse.

The demon's luck couldn't have been worse–well, unless Gyomei was sent to take care of her, then she'd go through real hell–but other than him, Muichiro and Mitsuri's styles were perfect for each other.

Muichiro was the best at close range, while Mitsuri was at long range.

The demon put her hand up and formed a shield of ice, blocking all of Muichiro's strikes. It destroyed the shield instantly, but she was able to jump back several steps, landing near the edge of the roof.

'Damn! Why were Hashiras sent?!' She cursed the bad luck for the millionth time tonight. 'If only I could just get to the forest, then i could escape, but the sun!'

Her eyes wondered into the distance, and she saw the sky beginning to turn orange. She only had a few minutes before she would be turned into ash, escape or not.

She created more constructs of ice, but again, Mitsuri easily took care of them. She made sure she was close to Muichiro after seeing how effective the form he used was.

Muichiro catches a glimpse of the horizon. He held his sword with one hand and used his other to pick up a piece of the falling ice shard in the shape of a spike.

Muichiro placed one foot in front of the other and threw the spike with enough speed and precision to impale the demon into her head.

Mitsuri gawked, her body almost spiraling out of control while she was plummeting towards the roof near them.

'H-He used my own ice?!' The demon screamed in outrage. The Blood Demon art she had put countless weeks into developing was used against her by a human not even fourteen yet.

Needless to say, her pride and her brain were now damaged severely.

Ever since Muichiro saw Tengen use his weird orbs that explode on contact, he has been bothering Tengen to give him some.

The Sound Hashira would just laugh and say the boy needed to go through "flamboyant training" first. Muichiro didn't know what that even meant, so he just made a bit to ask one of Tengen's wives, or his swordsmith.

Unfortunately, Muichiro forgot, and when he did remember, he would forget again. Thus, he gave up without even remembering what he gave up on. But that wasn't important!

What was important was the fact that her head was about to be in an alley in one minute flat.

The demon took a few steps back, not even realizing she was near the edge of the building. Muichiro fixed his stance and dashed forward.

He appeared in front of the demon, and released another barrage of countless small slashes. Her eyes widened. She riped the spike out of her head, but needed her brain to regenerate somewhat.

Despite being a demon, having brain damage to such a degree could negatively impact her.

She couldn't focus any time on making long range attacks in hopes of them getting past Mitsuri and getting a hit on the Mist Hashira.

Ice formed all around her, shielding her and firing on Muichiro. However, it was all for nothing, as he would easily cut it down and push her farther and farther towards the edge.

'No!' She screamed, watching his blade sweep towards her neck. She couldn't make any constructs of ice in time. If she wrapped ice around her neck, then his blade would still take her head.

Her thoughts were cut short as she fell. off of the roof, plummeting towards the ally below her. She thought this was some kind of blessing in disguise.

Muichiro's eyes narrowed when he saw her. He took a step forward and off of the roof as well, baffling everyone watching.

Muichiro spread out his senses, finally breaking his focus and stopping the form.

[Flame Breathing. Third Form]: Blazing Universe]

Muichiro slashed downwards from above his head, ignoring the cries of the demon. He stepped onto her stomach and crouched down.

Everything went silent as her head flew into the alleyway below–her body soon followed–turning to ash.
