The time flew by; it had been an hour since we left for Fuvolius. Usually it would take a whole day or more to get there from where we were, but with the help of a wyvern, we spotted Fuvolius just beyond some tall trees.
Aiden abruptly yelled, "Halt wyvern!" Instantly, the wyvern paused in response to his outcry. "Everyone, you know what to do. Let's move out on foot from here!" he proclaimed.
We all got off the metal carriage one by one, following Aiden who was walking in the front.
Most of the journey was tranquil and serene with the exception of Stella and Sin's talks. Why did Aiden bring the wyvern to such an abrupt halt? "What is the necessity of us to walk of a sudden?" I inquired.
Aiden spun around and faced me before saying, "To put it simply, wouldn't it draw unwanted attention if a large Wyvern entered The Kingdom? Some people could assume it is a threat and try to kill her." Aiden spun around to look at the direction of Fuvolius once more. "We don't want to risk them trying to take us out too, just for being associated with a 'monster' such her. Besides, a walk is a great way to get some exercise!" he declared.
I acknowledged that it would be a hassle. "That's true," I said. "Let's get going then," Aiden said, in an upbeat tone.
As everyone started to move, I couldn't help but reflect on the short remark about the wickedness of humans. Sadly, there was nothing I could do about it at this time. My mother died to an evil human. I wanted to do something to make a difference, but I felt so powerless. I kept walking, though, feeling slightly more hopeful after each step. I knew that if I kept trying, eventually I could make a difference and help make the world a better place.
After some time walking, we eventually made it to the end of the woods and the gorgeous sight of Fuvolius was now in sight. "Tomo, take a good look at this stunning place - it's The Kingdom of Fuvolius!" exclaimed Aiden.
The Kingdom was immense. Compared to the ancient, timber homes in my hometown, the structures here were well-appointed, painted, and constructed solely from concrete. There were even palatial estates and skyscrapers that towered.
The streets were teeming with life, the sounds of laughter and chatter filled the air. Everywhere there were people talking, laughing, and buying things from the local stores. There were even street performers, musicians, and jugglers performing for the joy of the crowd. The markets were filled with fresh produce and spices from the local farms, and the smells of the foods were intoxicating. The kingdom was also home to many beautiful parks and gardens, full of lush green trees and vibrant flowers. The air was filled with the sweet scent of jasmine, and the sound of birds chirping was soothing to the soul. I could feel a sense of peace and harmony from the kingdom.
Upon being reincarnated in this world, I had never before encountered such a breathtaking sight. All I could manage to say was, "This is incredible."
(Fun Fact! Tomo is the tallest among the three at 5'5ft, but he is the youngest of the group at 9 years of age. Sin is 11 years old and 5'2ft tall, while Stella is 10 years old and 4'7ft tall.)
