Vincent, the Otherworlder...

But the child slavery part intrigued me... Was Vincent looking at dolls or real kids working on the premise?

"Are you sure that they were individual kids? And not dolls?" I asked.

"Yep, no doubt about it. But, they looked quite drugged out and robotic when digging up the soil and patrolling the area. But I don't think that's the only question for me..."

Vincent tilted his head to the side before pointing the finger at me. He then leaned forward and whispered into my ears, much to the disgust of Tomoe and Bryan.

"You want to know why I was interested in taking up the case and why your Words of the World told you that I was an Otherworlder, right?"

I squeezed my eyes shut as I could hear Tomoe's foot making contact with the man's cheek, sending poor Vincent into the wall. I winced up, hearing his back break against the wall. Ouch, that's going to hurt for a few days.

"Don't get too cocky, mongrel... Just because you saved her life doesn't mean you get to be friendly with her," growled Tomoe, putting down his leg.

Now, where did I hear those first few words from... Ah! A man dressed in gold within Ancient Mesopotamian texts even had a poem dedicated to him! I quickly rushed over to Vincent to see if he was alright. Okay, who was I kidding...

That guy is going to feel that slam for a week.

"I knew that the Kitsune of the Old Chapel had the fiery attitude that even his Master couldn't control, but I never thought he would be so strong... And I didn't mean to be intimate with Elizabeth; I was only sharing secret information."

"Shall we talk somewhere in private after your meal?" asked Vincent, rubbing his head back.

"Like hell, I would allow you to be alone with her! Lizzie, let's ignore-"

"Shut up! You've been more than enough help around here. Don't you have some other more important business to attend to? You are ruining my breakfast, so get out of my room now!"

"Or else this place would have one less mouth to feed!" I shouted, unable to take any more of Tomoe's control.

Everyone was silent when I blurted out that statement and continued being that way when I stood up and dragged Tomoe by the collar. Then, with one swing, I threw the Kitsune out of the room and into the hallway.

Finally, to end it all, I slammed the door and turned to face the two men left in the room. Both looked terrified as I huffed out a sigh of frustration.

"Sorry about that, Vincent. We can discuss the information over here, and I'm sure that Bryan would be alright with keeping it a secret from the rest, am I right?" I asked, smiling at Bryan.

The frightened Slayer nodded his head while turning to look at Vincent with fear. Then, after a Tick of tension had passed, Vincent continued with his explanation.

"As I've said, I was interested in taking up the case because Fabian had managed to tame the Beast of Midsummer. Normally, it was supposed to be the Huanglong, the Fifth Element symbolizing the Central of the Directions and the Earth Element."

"But for some dark reason, the Huanglong was forced to be the Qilin, a symbol for passing for a noble person. I don't know what caused it, but my bet would be on the same thing that poisoned the Knight of Rebellion's body and mind."

"I was on a journey to collect all of the Four Symbols to widen my collection for my Original Spell and possibly get some new Skills, and I just so happen to be interested in the Five Phrases. As for the Otherworlder part, your Words of the World was right about it."

"I was from a world without the presence of Magecraft other than in old legends. You could also call it the modern era since we had phones before I died. Hell, it's the main reason why I was dead..."

"You died while looking at your phone? So what were you doing, crossing the road? Did truck-kun get you?" I asked, trying to stifle a burst of laughter.

"Yes, truck-kun struck me, and now I'm here like some Isekai story, trying to remember what my history teacher has taught me..."

"It's quite problematic for me to be given the power of Myths and Legends when I always sleep through history lessons," shot Vincent, angry that I was making fun of him.

"You are a student? You don't look like the type to study... I was picturing you like a dropout or the leader of a Secret Society kind of thing. Those black wings ain't giving me 'good school boy' vibes."
