Benjamin's Pain

"If you hadn't sent me away... I wouldn't have become this... Did you think I wanted to become like this?! To be filled with such... Corruption and anger... Day after day, I wished that you would've tried to visit me."

"Mother said it was a little vacation to learn about my powers, but it didn't feel like it at all... The people. Those horrible things. They poked me; they tore off my wings. They made my wings look like this. Don't you remember what I'd looked like before?"

"Well, they made me into this disgusting form! I screamed and shouted, but no one came. All these years... And not once did you think to find me!" yelled Benjamin as he lunged towards Mavislin in a frenzy.

The Valkyrie stood tall as she conjured up an armor suit and sword unfamiliar to Mordred. The blade was shorter than most of the blades Mavislin used and had no guard. Its hilt and pommel were gold, while the edge was silver.

The armor set only covered Mavislin's joints and the top half of her chest. The rest was a purple outfit accompanied by black boots. She had no gauntlets when Benjamin rushed up with a giant spike in his hand and tried to plunge it into Mavislin's face.

However, the Valkyrie held up her blade and deflected the attack by smashing the spike. Benjamin's eyes widened as Mavislin lifted her foot and slammed it forwards, creating a massive shock wave that blasted Benjamin away.

But she wasn't done as she chased her twin down, caught up to him, and delivered an almighty punch to his head. The shock wave emitted from the hit was significant enough to tell Mordred that no skull would have survived the blow.

But to the Knight's horror, Benjamin was getting back up like it was another Thursday night. Mavislin furrowed her eyebrows as she held up her blade.

"How could you leave me... I thought we were twins... I loved you so much. We gave each other sweets and bones to play with. We were inseparable when we didn't show our wings or powers. But Mother couldn't bear to see me 'Blackened,' so she threw me away. Dear Mavy..."

"Do you still remember me? Can you see that I'm not insane? It hurts so much... So why did you not come to rescue me for all these years... We made a promise, right? So why " complained Benjamin as he hobbled over to Mavislin.

The Valkyrie had stopped replying for a good period, and Mordred couldn't determine if Mavislin was upset or had any emotion. And that problem made Benjamin furious.

"WHY WON'T YOU SAY ANYTHING?!" yelled Benjamin as he summoned a dozen black spikes around the battlefield.

Mavislin remained silent as she dodged the spears, trying her best not to let any one of them poke her. But she failed to see that each spear had several spikes, which grazed her right arm.

The wound instantly became black as Mavislin felt the Corrupt Element infect her arm and start the conversion process. Benjamin smiled as he witnessed the incident while Mavislin stopped moving.

"Good... Now you can feel the same thing I did for the past few years... Now you'll know the pain I endured in those camps. A place where if I wanted to breathe, I needed to be poisoned."

"It hurts so much, and I'm glad to share that pain with my beloved sister... " cheered the Corrupted One as he rushed to his sister.

Unhinged would be an understatement to describe the being before the Knight as she wished it was real so she could beat the daylights out of him. But before anyone could react, Mavislin blinked and instantly grabbed her blade to slice off her arm.

The Knight was shocked but then laughed inwardly as she realized cutting off limbs must be Mavislin's hobby. Meanwhile, Benjamin flew into a rage again and conjured up more spears to hurl at Mavislin.

"Damn you! Why do you refuse this?!" yelled Benjamin as Mavislin leaped around and dodged every spike.

The Valkyrie refused to speak as she flipped upside down and propelled herself towards Benjamin. Despite having a wall of spikes to protect him, it became glass against Mavislin's blade. Mordred was shocked to see the power gap between the twins.

From afar, if she hadn't known what was happening, Mordred would have thought the two Valkyrie were strangers, much fewer twins. From the beginning, Mordred saw Mavislin's power output was significantly higher than her twin's, but both had the same Elemental Energy levels.

The only thing to differentiate the twins was their fighting skills. Mavislin was more flexible and calculative about her next few steps, while Benjamin was like a madman. But the most significant difference was how they placed their Elemental Energy on their attacks.
