Booking a room for the night.

Looking up at the tall building, Drax couldn't keep the expression of relief from showing up on his face. After he and Gake had once again entered the tribe, Drax had asked her if the symbiote village had anywhere to sleep. Turns out they actually had an inn for travelers.located almost directly in the middle of the village. The symbiote village gets visitors nearly every day although most of them are demi humans as humans rarely come here. Apparently non-human species are highly discriminated against in this world. From what Gale told me, the visitors range from a multitude of intelligent monsters and demi human races.

Shaking his head to get the lingering thoughts out of his mind, Drax started to walk towards the entrance of the inn while admiring the architecture of the building. Gale had gone home as it was starting to get late but before she did, she had given Drax around 100 copper coins so that he could stay at the inn for a couple of days. If you're wondering what the costs are at the inn then it goes like this. 1 room, which includes a bed, a wardrobe, and a window, will cost 5 coppers for every day that you plan to stay at the inn. Of course, if you get two rooms then the cost is naturally doubled, and you have to pay upfront at the receptionist or else you don't get the room.

Gale had helped Drax learn the current currency system of this country. Which, ironically enough, also goes for the whole world. So the whole world actually uses the same coin system, or at least most of the world. You may of course find a city or country that uses a different system but they will be very rare to find. The coun system of this world goes like this, the coins are separated by the amount they're worth.

The different types of coins are copper, iron, silver, gold, and platinum. One hundred copper coins are equal to the worth of one iron coin. One hundred iron coins are equal to the worth of one silver. One hundred silver coins are equal to the worth of one gold. And one hundred silver coins is equal to one gold coin.

As Drax looked at the building in front of him he smiled as he noticed that Instead of the building being in the shape of a triangle like the rest of the buildings, this one was actually rectangular like the ones from earth. This building also wasn't made from ice like the ones located all around the symbiote village but was instead made from a weird type of wood that was colored a dark shade of blue. Standing about four stories tall, it towered over the rest of the buildings, making it a very easy landmark to remember.

Walking into the inn, a small sound like that of wind chimes hitting each other entered into Draxes ears. Looking around, it seemed quite similar to something you would read out of a fantasy novel. Wooden tables were scattered all over the place as four chairs stood around each one. Looking around, it would indeed seem that Gale was telling the truth about the multiple races that come by here. Even amongst the giant crowd, it was quite easy to pinpoint what races were which. In the inn, Drax spotted multiple dwarves, tiger-kin, fox-kin, squirrel-kin, and even a few symbiote plants as well as many other types of races.

But the thing that really surprised him even though he probably should have expected it was that there wasn't any electricity. Although they didn't have electricity, they did have something that Drax would say was even better then some simple light bulb. Scattered around the inn were long purple crystals, each about the same size as a small pocket knife. Each crystal was a deep shade of purple and released a light that brightened the whole room to a considerable degree. At the far edge of the building was a long counter cut into three sections. Each section had one female tiger beast kin standing behind it. A small line of people trailed In front of the three as all of them seemed to be quite busy as the person in the front of the line as well as the receptionist working with them tried their best to get done as fast as they could. The female on the left looked to be around sixteen or seventeen years old.

She had long orange hair that flowed down below her shoulders. Her eyes were a dark shade of blue that shined brightly in the light of the orange candles. A red dress strolled down her shoulders as it disappeared behind the counter. Matching her beautiful looks was her above average bust size that added quite a bit to her natural flare as well as made her noticeably more beautiful. And based on the striped tail and ears on the top of her head, Drax guessed that she was some kind of racoon or skunk demi human. The one in the middle section of the desk looked to be the younger of the three receptionists. In fact, Drax was almost entirely sure that she was still a child.

She only really looked to be around nine or ten years old. She wore a small ocean blue dress that was the same shade as her eyes. Just like the other girl, this one also had long hair, although it barely reached past her shoulders. She didn't have any boobs yet, which Drax was thankful for. He wasn't in any mood to look at little girls lecherously, and he would hopefully never be.

He wants to avoid being that kind of person. Now onto her animal traits. This little girl didn't have any kind of fuzzy animal ears but instead had long scaly ears that stood, slightly curved, in the top of her head. Her arms and legs were also covered in scales as well as the long tail that swung from side to side behind her. Looking at the little girl, you would think that such a young kid would probably have a hard time doing her job or would at least need some help. But once you saw the way she held herself up and the fluid movements she did, then you would immediately reprehend yourself. She was a 100 percent professional. Her hands moved across the desk as she wrote multiple different words across a large piece of paper that sat In Front of her. And finally, the girl on the right didn't really stand out all that much.

She looked to be around fifteen or sixteen with a tiny bit above-average looks, but that was the only thing that really stood out. Her hair was just as long as the first two receptionist's and was black in color. And if he were to guess, then Drax had to say that if there were vampires in this world, then she fit the bill almost perfectly. Her dress was black, her hair was black, and her nails were even painted black. The only thing not black was her eyes, which was a bright blood red.

Even the surrounding atmosphere matched that of her color scheme. In Draxes eyes, she was a complete mystery and he instantly pegged her as someone he wanted to get to know. Although, for some reason, the girl looked pretty depressed, maybe even a little sad. Walking up to the counter, Drax stood in the line with the gothic dressed female. It only took a few minutes of waiting before It was finally his turn.

Jumping up into a chair that seemed to be for some of the shorter races, Drax turned to stare at the gothic receptionist. Turning around to face Drax the receptionist's eyes slowly widened as she turned to stare at Drax. Quickly recovering, she cleared up her throat before speaking. "Welcome to the Leafy inn, how may we help you today." By now Drax was already used to this.

The reason for her current surprise was thanks to his mother. During the trip to the inn, Drax had found out from Gale that his mother was actually the savior of the village. After defeating a dragon that nearly destroyed the whole village, she was hailed as this village's protector and as such, everyone holds her in high regards. And of course, this goes for any of her children as well.. On his way to the inn, Drax met a few wandering species that all seemed to be surprised whenever they saw him. Apparently, Drac looks a lot like his mother.

Waving his paw in the air while making a few extra motions, Drax tried his best to convey what he wanted. Shaking her head, the receptionist said, "I don't know what you want, sorry." Giving a huff of frustration at not being able to talk,Drax racked his brain as he tried to think of a solution. The entire time that he had been at the symbiote plant tribe he had been talking to people who either used telepathy or had the skill so it was pretty easy telling people what he wanted, but now that he was talking to someone without telepathy it was starting to be pretty frustrating. As Drax was thinking this he suddenly got an idea of how he could communicate with the receptionist. Thinking of how he and Gale communicated, Drax started to try and replicate the feeling.

After about fifteen seconds, he felt a flicker in his mind as he started to feel as if his thoughts were starting to be sent somewhere. He didn't really know how to describe what he was trying to do or doing. All he could say was that it felt like his mind was floating across a small flowing river as he slowly got nearer to his destination. After a second or two, he felt as if his mind hit some kind of invisible barrier. Pushing against it, the barrier slowly opened as he instinctively knew what to do next.

Thinking of what he wanted to tell the receptionist, Drax looked at her before sending his thoughts into her head. *I would like to book a room for the next week or so if that would be alright, miss….* Of course, unknown to Drax, the message he sent was actually a little jumbled but that was an explanation for another time. The receptionist's eyes widened into large circles as her mouth stood agape. She obviously wasn't used to being spoken to telepathically. Thankfully, she was quick to recover as she replied.

"Oh" talking in a small voice as her hair covered most of her face, she said "M-my name is H-Haley, please g-give me one second." Stuttering in a small voice as she spoke to Drax, Haley turned around as she carefully looked at a piece of paper hanging on the wall behind her. Turning back to Drax, she looked at him before saying in a quiet whisper, "That will umm cost you th-thirty five copper co-coins." nodding his head, Drax reached into the leather pouch that was currently hanging from a thin cord made of plants that was wrapped around his neck. Quickly taking out the number of coins needed, Drax counted the amount before handing them over to the receptionist.

Turning around, she grabbed a key that was hanging in the wall surrounded by dozens of similar ones. Turning back around to face Drax, the receptionist talked in a hurried tone before handing him the key. "Your room is number fif-fifteen located o-on the se-second floor." Thanking the receptionist, Drax headed to the stairs that were located only a few feet away from the counter before heading up the stairs. As he reached the top of the stairs Drax saw a large sign hanging in the opposing hallway that said *Second floor* on it. Walking around until he spotted a room with the number fifteen Drax momentarily stopped as he looked at the doors number.

This was yet another thing that Drax had noticed about this world, the languages as well as the alphabet and numbers were exactly the same as they were on earth.. The months and days of the calendar were also the same. This also went through time and hours of each day.. Looking at the door, Drax gave a sigh of relief as he noticed that it had two-door knobs on it. One was located near the floor in which was probably there for the shorter races, while another was located a little higher, at the middle of the door for races that were higher in height. It took a few minutes for Drax to open up the door as he had to use his mouth thanks to not having opposable thumbs but he was able to manage. Drax immediately cleaned the door knob with his two tails before running and jumping on the bed. Closing his eyes, Drax could feel his muscles visibly relax as he was swept off to the land of dreams.
