"Are you alright?" Vorbuk asked him as his red eyes gazed up at the prince.
From the expression on Prince Leo it was clear that he had managed to hear the whispers about his brother Curtis. It was not something that any normal person would be able to sit calmly and endure but from what Vorbuk could tell the prince was clearly holding himself back for the sake of everyone and his kingdom. Since Leo was the crown prince to Cadirade he he could not allow himself to start a fight so easily in public places; especially not in someone else's kingdom.
"I'm fine." Leo whispered back to him as he forced a smile that was clear as day a front to hide the pain he felt from their remarks.
Vorbuk could not understand himself why he felt so frustrated at the fact that the gossiping strangers were upsetting Leo. The others in their group could not hear the words, except for Bredret who was ignoring every bit of what was going on due to his focus being entirely on Celeste who was happily wrapping her spiritual form around his neck. Nobody in the group had become aware that the wolf among them was standing up and walking towards the group of gossipers with his head lowered with determination to solve those who would not stop disrupting their peace. If nobody else was going to silence those rowdy men he felt the need to.
With the jewel embedded in his forehead glowing a slight red he came to a halt in front of the group of gossiping men. All of their attention slowly shifted to look at him as they muttered among themselves questioning the situation. Silence filled the entire room as all eyes began to shift over in their direction including Vorbuk's own party who had finally realized where he had gone. Prince Leo jumped to his feet and started to take a step in Vorbuk's direction trying to take in the situation.
"Who's wolf is this?" one of them asked out loud trying to figure out who's companion had wandered over to them.
"Vorbuk, what are you doing?" Daryl was the first one in their group to speak up as he tried to coax him back to their table.
"He's with you guys? No wonder he looks like the sort who doesn't obey it's owner." One of the gossipers who had been spreading the rumors about Curtis earlier laughed out loud.
Vorbuk knew the rumors they were spreading were probably true but the fact that he knew it was devastating for prince Leo to listen to without knowing the truth for himself yet caused his insides to boil. Now that he felt them referring to him as if he was someones pet he could not control himself from growling deeply at the bunch. Originally he had only planned to cause a small disaster such as knocking their drinks over so that they would leave wet but he had a change of heart.
Jumping forward with his front legs extended out in front of his body they connected with the chest of one of the adventurers sending him flying backwards against the wall. The man's head slammed so had against the wall that he was knocked unconscious upon impact. Staring in disbelief the others started to shake where they stood as the beast growled fiercely at them.

Are you trying to joke with me right now? I'm not in the mood for your jokes. Vorbuk scoffed in his mind at the sudden title that god's voice declared in his mind.
The adventurers were not inexperienced when it came to fights; they knew they stood no real chance against the group who held control over Vorbuk. As they shuffled to lift their unconscious partner from the wall they quickly retreated from the building. Occasionally on the way out they would shift their gazes to take glances at Vorbuk who held his chest out and head high as if he was warning them to keep quiet and leave. It was not just their imagination because if they had not left he was ready to drag them out by force.
After the men had left he slowly trotted himself back over to Leo and the others and sat down. They were all gazing at him with bewilderment painted on their faces. It was clear to him that none of them understood why he chased the gossipers out but in the corner of his eye he could see a slight smile playing at the prince's face. Leo knew the truth behind his actions; Vorbuk had done it for the sake of the prince.
"Thank you." Vorbuk whispered to Vorbuk as he placed a hand on top of his head to stroke is fur casually in return.
"Did I give you permission to touch me?" Vorbuk growled slightly as his ears pinned back flat, glaring at Leo as if he was annoyed. It was not that he did not enjoy the feeling of the prince petting his head but he still disliked being treated as an animal.
Feeling a sense of defeat Leo retreated his hand with a warm smile as he watched Vorbuk take a few steps away from him before curling up on the floor once again. His tail wrapped around his own body so that he could place his head down on it as though it was a pillow.
"What was that about?" Daryl asked the group as he pointed at Vorbuk over what had just happened. He knew that Leo at least had to have some kind of idea what had just happened but the prince simply shook his head in silence as if to hold it secret for himself. Nobody else pressed for answers over the matter but Daryl.
Thanks to the display Vorbuk had put on at that time the rest of their day was uneventful. When it came to causing trouble not many in the Kingdom of Cista who would bother causing trouble since it was a neutral zone for wars. The only things close to being eventful for the group was the drunken ravings between Daryl and Bredret as they took the day to relax before continuing their search tomorrow for the cambion Chete, they had come for.
