Vorbuk watched King Micah sipping elegantly at his drink, unlike Bredret who simply chugged down one drink after another in front of them both he drank much more slowly with a calm demeanor. The night was growing much later and growing impatient Vorbuk brought forth the question he wanted to ask, "Have you considered working with us?"
King Micah stared into his drink as he thought about Vorbuk's question before responding, "I understand what you intend to do however I will not wish to submit my kingdom under yours."
"Your kingdom has already been attacked twice by-" Vorbuk started to question King Micah's hesitation in accepting to work together. King Micah could not easily consider the thought of submitting to another King. To accept another king as an Emperor, as his superior, was difficult to consider. He did not know Vorbuk that well to consider him as someone to serve.
"However," King Micah cut him off before he could finish trying to smooth things over, "I do wish to work together. As equals in an alliance. I may not know where your future will take you but I do need to protect my people from further damage caused by that god."
"You mean," Vorbuk asked him carefully, "you do not like the idea of working with me but you have no choice because the safety of your people come first."
"Yes," King Micah replied, "To become a future emperor you'll need other kingdom's to support you. In exchange for helping protect the lives of my people from the god, Chynir, I will help set that base of support."
"Your a hard man to win over, King Micah." Vorbuk exhaled deeply as he felt things with King Micah were difficult.
King Micah simply smiled into his drink as he spoke, "I only have one life. I do not wish to leave behind regrets."
Bredret suddenly choked on his own drink listening to the two of them talk. Something about King Micah's comment made him choke while he was taking a drink. Coughing repeatedly into his own hand he tried to calm himself down.
"What's wrong?" Vorbuk asked Bredret while watching the dragon's cough fit.
"Nothing," Bredret cleared his throat finally and responded, "I just thought I heard something ridiculous."
BANG! Crash! Thud!
A loud noise could be heard just before a window on the upper floor of the palace shattered. Glass raining down from above all around the palace garden. Something large could be seen falling from the shattered window and landing on the ground with a heavy thud.
Standing up the three of them rushed over and glanced at what had fallen. It was the body of a young girl. Her hair was half black and half white. There was no longer any signs that she was alive as she had been brutally cut up before the fall. She was dressed in dark clothing. It was then that a familiar sound called out to Vorbuk.

"Isn't that Yin?" King Micah's voice asked from the side of Vorbuk as he was still understanding what had just happened.
"Who?" Vorbuk asked King Micah while looking at the drunk dragon, Bredret, kneeling himself down to look over the body. The two of them knew that Bredret was examining the situation as well.
"They have a twin called Yan. Known as Yin and Yan they are both assassins that work for one of the guardians of Drethia. It seems that Drethia has already sent people out to cause problems for you." King Micah said.
"Ashley," Vorbuk called out to his servant and without needing to hear a command Ashley began to move.
Ashley's body swiftly moved. Jumping from one spot to another against the palace walls he climbed his way up. Entering the shattered window above Ashley entered the room the assassin Yin had been thrown from. Vorbuk waited quietly down below as he lost visual on his servant.
The last one must be the one known as Yan.. Vorbuk thought to himself as he watched.
"Ashley?" Vorbuk called out to him from below when he felt the silence was becoming heavy.
There was no response to his call so Vorbuk decided it was best to go himself. Turning to King Micah and Bredret he spoke, "I will be back once I check things out myself."
"If you take too long the dragon might drink everything." King Micah spoke as he understood. It was not something he could easily get involved with. Matters of the palace were something for the royal family to take care of themselves. If he got involved needlessly it could result in problems. He could only turn around and return to the gazebo with Bredret and wait for Vorbuk to finish dealing with his own problem.
Vorbuk's body moved through the shadows on the palace walls. Drifting through one shadow to another as if he was floating among waves. Making his way up was much easier then when he first came to this realm. It felt like his abilities were slowly becoming more of a part of himself.
Once Vorbuk made it to the room he reemerged in the center of the room in his human form. He had to be cautious of over using his mana for other things if he wanted to maintain a human form in front of all the nobles tonight. In front of him stood Ashley who was holding a young man by the throat. The young man had a similar hair color as the girl but the colors seemed to be in reverse.
Roar!!
A familiar sound called out from the other side of the room with a fierce sound of anger behind it. The young boy Chase was in his tiger form growling at the invader.
Vorbuk had assumed the assassins would all aim for him when he'd received the warning. He had never stopped to consider that it was a warning that not only was directed towards him. The two other assassins had aimed at the new crown prince of Theapan instead. Chase had been lucky and managed to fight one off on his own.
While he had been cornered by the second Ashley had showed up just in time to catch the intruder. They had thought waiting for Chase to be alone would make things easy to complete their task. However Chase was not a pure blooded beastman. The other half of his bloodline was something much more powerful then that of any average beastman race. It was the very reason he had been locked within that dungeon for such a long time.
"Ashley?" Vorbuk called out his servants name when he saw the pure blood-lust seeping forth from him. Ashley's grip on the man's throat tightened. Holding firmly the vampire did not let go of his tight grasp as the assassin struggled for air. Eventually the man's useless struggle ceased as his body went limp.
Thud!
The body landed on the floor as Ashley turned to Vorbuk and put on his usual bright smile, "Master~ The problem has been resolved."

"Yes," Vorbuk hesitated and turned his gaze to Chase, "Are you alright?"
"Mn!" Chase returned to his human form and nodded as he came up close to Vorbuk. He could feel Vorbuk's hand being placed on top of his head as a deep purr from the tiger boy could be heard.
"Ashley, I need to return to the others. You take care of cleaning this up." Vorbuk spoke as he turned to leave.
"Master, will you be alright alone?" Ashley was worried there could be other problems among the guests.
"I can handle whatever happens so you just deal with the current problem here. This could cause panic among the nobles if they find this mess." Vorbuk said.
Ashley paused before bowing respectfully, "Yes, master."
