Wang Aija's Resolve

When Wang Aija appeared in the main street, the reaction of the locals were simply overwhelming. Such a perfect figure with elegance was really an attention magnet in their eyes.

"Great Herbalist is here! What a beauty! She really is a peerless beauty! Ohh... How I wish, I am an herb she takes care everyday!"

"It's so rare to see the owners of the Si Apothecary! We are lucky to see Great Herbalist today!"

"No one can compete with our Wang Aija! She is a talented lady and attractive too!"

Hearing the praises and greetings of the locals, Wang Aija generously smiled at them. However, Elder Xia remained silent and seemed to be caught in a daze.

"Venerable Elder Xia, the locals seemed to have not noticed you?" Wang Aija playfully spoke to the elder after noticing his silence.

"That's only natural. I've concealed my presence to them," Elder Xia blandly replied. "Unlike others who want to be greeted and praised, I'd rather just observe the locals quietly and not caused a scene."

"Hmmph! This venerable elder! I wanted to ask about Master Huan Xue... But, he actually escape before I could start our conversation!" Wang Aija lamented and shook her head. She looked at the elevated Ningjing Mansion for a few seconds before she switched her attention back to the locals.

The entire day, Wang Aija surveyed the main street and alleys of their island. She was observing if the locals had similarly watery eyes with their two guests or if they exhibits the symptoms of Hex Mile of Tears.

By late afternoon, Elder Xia and Wang Aija went back to the Si Apothecary Building empty-handed. They had not seen any local exhibiting the symptoms of Hex Mile of Tears.

"Venerable Elder Xia, it should be good news, right? Since no locals manifest symptoms, it only means we only have to cure two patients!" Wang Aija questioned but she felt that her heart was heavy with an indescribable burden.

"Hmmph... If it's good news, do you feel like celebrating, Great Herbalist Wang Aija?" Elder Xia shook his head and massaged the side of his head.

Wang Aija pursed her lips and looked skeptical. "Something is looming in the dark...?"

He had long known that Wang Aija wanted to be the dual cultivation partner of Huan Xue. But, because she was too focused on nurturing herbs, their interest simply contradicts.
