Just Another Day

I was on my way to John and Joanna's house. There was a small celebration happening there for close friends and family.

Joanna has been incredibly busy since I organized her first concert for her. She had been steadily rising in the music industry. After her concert, Isabelle Brooke, the agent Lucy introduced to me at the concert, convinced Joanna to sign her.

Isabelle has been guiding Joanna through the music industry ever since. I helped Joanna with lawyers for negotiating a contract between her and Isabelle, and since then she hasn't needed much help from me, other than appearing in some of her YouTube videos and helping her with some songs. I wrote a few Disney songs for her, whose covers had become big hits on her channel.

Isabelle was instrumental in finding a reputable manager for Joanna and helped organize her burgeoning career. Joanna continued to grow her social media following, now with the help of Isabelle and a small team working for her.

In the beginning of the year, Isabelle introduced Joanna to a music producer to further help her craft her music. This connection made it easy for her to get a record deal. Joanna was already fairly popular, and the labels were intrigued by her rise through the internet. With Isabelle's guidance, Joanna was able to negotiate a good deal with a label and began working with their considerable resources.

She was now planning to release her first album, and today's party was to celebrate her officially joining the label.

The party was happening in John and Joanna's backyard, which was beautifully decorated with strings of fairy lights draped across the patio and along the fence, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. A long table was set up with a variety of snacks and drinks, and a banner that read 'Congratulations, Joanna!' hung above it. The scent of grilling food filled the air, mixing with the sound of laughter and cheerful conversation.

As I entered, I saw John standing with his father at the grill. John spotted me first and greeted me enthusiastically.

"Daniel! Glad you could make it!" John called out, waving me over.

"Hey, John," I replied, walking over. "Wouldn't miss it."

John's father gave me a nod and a warm smile. "Nice to see you again, Daniel. Hope you're hungry," he said, flipping a burger.

"Always," I said, grinning.

Just then, Matt came over, a broad smile on his face. "Hey, Daniel!," he said, giving me a pat on the back.

"Matt," I replied. "Looks like a great party."

There were some familiar faces from high school, and others I guessed were John and Joanna's family and friends. John led me through the crowd towards Joanna, who, upon spotting us, briskly walked over to hug me.

"Well, Jo, you did it," I said, smiling at her.

"I did," she replied happily, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

John and Joanna then introduced me to the rest of their family and friends.

"This is my cousin Emily, she is a huge fan of yours," Joanna said, gesturing to a young woman with curly hair and a warm smile.

"Nice to meet you, Emily," I said, shaking her hand she quickly walked away.

"She's a bit shy," Joanna said.

"And over here is my uncle Mike," John added, pointing to a tall man with a jovial demeanor. "Uncle Mike, this is Daniel."

"Pleasure to meet you, Daniel. First time I saw a celebrity up close," Mike said, giving me a firm handshake.

"Well now there is one in your family too" I said.

"Ha, I guess we do," the man said.

The introductions continued, each new face greeting me with warmth and friendliness.

As I made my way through the party, I spotted Lucia.

"Hey, Luci! How's college treating you?" I asked.

Lucia smiled, through her eyes held a hint of playful annoyance. "It would be better if my friends were there, but they decided to skip college," she said, shaking her head.

"Well, I'm sure your business degree will be helpful for all three of us," I replied with a grin.

"It better be," Lucia said with mock seriousness. "I'm expecting a very lucrative job from all three of you."

I chuckled and moved on, finding Joanna who was ready to introduce me to Isabelle Brooke again.

"And this is the woman who took over from you," Joanna said, introducing me to Isabelle.

"Hello, Ms. Brooke," I said, my eyes briefly glancing at her large assets before I quickly looked back at her face.

"Mr. Adler, pleasure to meet you too," she said with a confident smile. "You are the talk of the town this year, young man. I enjoyed your movie very much."

I didn't quite catch her words, momentarily distracted. Joanna gave me a nudge, bringing me back to reality.

"Yeah, huge plans for next year as well," I replied, hoping I sounded coherent.

"Well, considering how you were part of Joanna's journey, can I expect some more collaboration?" Isabelle asked, her smile widening.

"Of course, I'm sure you have Lucy's number. Anything Joanna wants," I said, trying to stay focused.

"Good, good," she said with a satisfied nod.

The party continued, and the aroma of grilling food filled the air. John's father was at the grill, flipping burgers, which were always his specialty. The smell was irresistible, and I made my way over to grab one. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, just as I remembered from past gatherings at John and Joanna's house. They always knew how to throw a great party, and the food was no exception.

As the evening progressed, John stood up with a glass in hand, catching everyone's attention. The chatter quieted down as all eyes turned to him.

"Everyone, can I have your attention, please?" John began, his voice filled with pride and warmth. "I just want to say a few words about my incredible sister, Joanna."

He paused for a moment, looking at Joanna with a smile. "Jo, I couldn't be prouder of you. Watching you grow and seeing your hard work and dedication pay off has been amazing. You've always had this incredible talent and spirit, and now the world gets to see it too."

He then continued the speech telling some stories from their childhood and how he always knew she would get here.

John then turned to me, a playful grin on his face. "I also want to give a big thanks to Daniel here. Somehow, he managed to drag all of us into the entertainment industry. First, Joanna with her music, then Matt with his art, and even me helping me get a start on my dream of making video games . It's like he has this magical ability to make us all realize our potential."

There was a round of laughter and applause from the guests..

"But in all seriousness," John continued, "Joanna, you are an inspiration to all of us. I know this is just the beginning of an incredible journey for you, and I can't wait to see where it takes you. Here's to Joanna, the brightest star in the room!"

Everyone raised their glasses in a toast to Joanna, cheering and clapping. Joanna looked both touched and a bit embarrassed by all the attention, but she was beaming with happiness.

'You know what….. I did that. Yes, I am going to take credit here. I really did do that' I thought as Joanna received praise and admiration from family and friends.

Haley and I were sitting in the living room of my house, the steady rain tapping against the windows creating a cozy atmosphere. The soft glow from the fireplace cast a warm light across the room, highlighting the books and notes spread out in front of us.

"So, the Phoenicians founded colonies all over the Mediterranean," I explained, pointing to a map in the book. "Their seafaring skills allowed them to establish trade routes that connected different cultures and facilitated the exchange of goods and ideas."

I glanced at Haley, who seemed more interested in anything but the lesson. "Haley, are you paying attention?" I asked, a hint of frustration in my voice.

"Oh, look, I found something too," she said, her hand sliding to my crotch.

"No," I said, gently pushing her hand away. "This is important."

"But it's boring. We could do something that's not boring," she said, winking at me.

"You know they're going to hold you back, right?" I asked, trying to keep my tone serious.

"Your mom isn't home," Haley said, leaning closer.

Mom and Nathan were in Florida for some university event, leaving me alone.

"No, focus haley" I said.

Haley gave me a bored look then her expression changed she began slowly unbuttoning her shirt revealing her small but firm tits.

"Oh" I said.

"I think this is more interesting," she said.

"No bra?" I asked as that was the only thing that came to mind for some reason.

"Decided to skip it," she purred.

"So what's it going to be?" Haley challenged.

Unable to resist any longer, I picked her up and carried her upstairs, abandoning the history lesson for something much more enjoyable.

---------------------------

I woke up in my bed, the morning light filtering through the curtains. Haley was sleeping next to me, after some time she stirred as I shifted, slowly opening her eyes.

"Hey" she said, leaning over to kiss me.

"What did you tell your parents again?" I asked, realizing she had spent the night here.

"I'm at a friend's place," she said with a mischievous smile. "You have to drop me off at her place later."

"Mmm" I reacted.

"Weeellll, not now," she said, straddling me.

As she leaned in to kiss me again we heard footsteps outside the room. My eyes widened.

"Mom's back," I whispered, quickly pushing Haley down under the large blanket, hoping she would be hidden there.

Just then mom came in with Alice. "Surprise, we're back early!" she said cheerfully.

"Hey..." I said, trying to remain composed.

"Did you have someone over yesterday?" she asked.

"Why do you... think that?" I stammered, feeling Haley's hand roaming under the covers.

"I saw an open beer bottle in the living room," she said.

"Oh, John was here," I lied.

"You know, I'm going to get dressed. I'll meet you downstairs," I said quickly.

"Okay, I'm making pancakes, so come quick," she said, leaving with Alice, who waved as they left.

Haley emerged from under the blanket. "That was close," she said.

"What the heck were you doing down there?" I asked, exasperated.

Haley giggled.

"You know, I don't think your mom would have minded if she saw me," she said, getting up and giving me the full view of her naked form.

"I don't think any mom wants to walk in on their son having sex. The same is true the other way around," I said, shaking my head.

Haley started getting dressed quickly, pulling on her clothes with practiced ease. She slipped into her underwear, then pulled on a pair of jeans that hugged her curves perfectly. Next came a shirt. She ran her fingers through her hair, trying to tame the morning mess, and finally, she slipped on her shoes.

"Alright, let's get you out of here," I whispered, opening the door slowly.

We moved quietly down the hallway. I could hear Mom in the kitchen, clinking pots and pans together as she prepared breakfast. I motioned for Haley to follow me, and we crept down the stairs. As we reached the bottom, I peeked around the corner to see Mom's back turned to us.

"Go, go, go," I mouthed, and Haley slipped past me towards the front door. Just as we were about to step outside, she turned to me with wide eyes.

"I forgot my jacket," she whispered urgently.

"Where is it?" I asked.

"On the couch" she replied.

"Leave it there i will bring it to you later" I said quickly, pushing her gently out the door.

We were just about to make our escape when Nathan walked in front of us.

"Ah," he said, smirking.

"Uh, morning," I said, trying to act casual.

"Morning," Nathan replied, still smirking.

"You didn't see anything," I said, giving him a pointed look.

"Your secret is safe with me," he said, walking inside.

"Oh, and tell Mom I'm going to get those pastries she likes," I called after him.

"Alright," Nathan says, laughing as he closes the door.

I get in the car and start it up. Haley slides into the passenger seat, still giggling.

"You know, sometimes I feel like I am a very bad tutor," I say, shaking my head.

"Don't worry, I think you are the best, especially last night," Haley says with a wink.

"You know what, I'm going to take that win," I say, driving out of the driveway.
